Musician and writer, Spurge deejays in a fashion that is often dialectical in nature - weaving opposing elements together to construct a singular, political experience - honoring the practice of storytelling through selection while enjoying the sport-like aspects of DJing too. His chameleonic perspective to mixing shirks genre, freeing Spurge to jump from dancehall to techno to rock to electro, disco, house, ambient to whatever’s clever. Spurge’s musical knowledge is bolstered by a decade in the New York nightlife community, showcased through his playing history - Good Room, Bossa Nova Civic Club, Mansions, Nowadays - and the projects he’s been involved in: The Lot Radio, Sustain-Release, Captured Tracks Record Shop, Resident Advisor. His versatility as a DJ is demonstrated through bookings outside of the club for entities like Ace Hotel, Wythe Hotel, NTS, dublab and Something Special Studios as well as international bookings at clubs like Mitsuki (Tokyo), Offtrack (Singapore), and Super Rayo (Bogotá). Spurge runs the record label Eto Ano. His curation of the record label reiterates his capabilities as a selector, illustrated through releases like Pearly - Silver Of The Mirror (Remixes) and No Cash in Booth: A Compilation by Eto Ano (Supporting Decriminalizing the MTA). Through Eto Ano, Spurge maintains a research-based monthly show on The Lot Radio.Their RA profile lists Blueberry Records and Eto Ano.Recently at Silence Please, Bossa Nova Civic Club, public records · often with Marco Weibel, Nkisi, A Guy Called Gerald, none of them here that night

With several full-length albums under his belt on Jay Denham's (Disko-B, Transmat) BlackNation Records, and the U.K.'s Theory Records, as well as a slew of singles and appearances on numerous compilations and mix CDs, Charles (better known to the world as Archetyp) is no stranger to the international electronic music scene. Thanks largely to the BlackNation releases, as well as other well-received EPs on Klang Electronic's mother label Ongaku, his own offshoot from the 21-22 Corporation (Glyph), and Ben Sims' Theory label, Noel has taken his place among the top echelon of artists redefining techno music in the 2000s. Charles has also performed in various venues around North America and Europe, including after-hours performances for the Detroit Electronic Music Festival with Akufen and Orlando Voorn and the SONAR festival in Barcelona, appearing alongside Jeff Mills, Aphex Twin, Richard Divine, Matmos, and John Peel. His music expanded farther east in 2002 during a tour of Japan with Fumiya Tanaka and label-mate Ricardo Villaobos, where he headlined at the world-famous Liquid Room in Tokyo. http://www.discogs.com/artist/Archetype http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=RcS8I8TYzzU http://dj.beatport.com/archetyp http://www.residentadvisor.net/profile/archetyp http://www.beatport.com/artist/archetype/25735/tracks https://soundcloud.com/archetypTheir RA profile lists Raw Fusion, Ongaku Musik, Black Nation Records, Indigo Aera and 5 more.Recently at Forest City Lodge 180 · often with @aparece, otodojo, none of them here that night
