Maayan Nidam, also performing as THE WAVES is an artist in flux, continues to change, evolve and challenge boundaries both in her Berlin studio and on stage. She has built a reputation as a fine producer, live performer & DJ who favours a subtle approach towards mesmeric moments. Her DJ sets, predominantly based in stripped-back, deep sounds, utilise an intriguing vinyl collection, using obscure interludes for re-contextualisation. This approach makes for some magical moments on the dance-floor, where a night’s highlight may come from the most unlikely of tracks. As a musician obsessed about sound and the technology behind its creation, her workflow places a strong focus on the studio environment. Triggering chain reactions between guitar pedals, drum machines, modular synths and acoustic instruments, generating sounds in unpredictable, exciting ways. As THE WAVES, Maayan has developed a solo live set that allows her to further her studio experiments and take them on the road. An Italian born cosmopolitan, Camilla has roamed the globe for over six years, fueled by her father’s legacy in Italy’s progressive rock scene. From Cuneo, her hometown, to Brooklyn,where she now resides, her DJ journey has embraced diverse communities, including the vibrant scenes of Turin, Lisbon, Boston, and particularly New York and Brooklyn. Camilla has performed in various clubs and parties in New York and worldwide, including the likes of Resolute, Public Records, Elsewhere, Sunday Sessions LA and Harbour in Lisbon. Oscillating between classic old-school records and cutting edge sounds, her sets (mostly on vinyl) encompass diverse styles of electronic music including house, techno, electro and breaks. Overall, her journeys tend to be spacey and acid-heavy, leaning into bass-driven, uplifting beats when the time is right. In 2021, Camilla launched Encrypted, a celebrated event series in New York. Encrypted parties cherish intimate locations and a welcoming atmosphere, long DJ sets and international bookings paired with local talent. Artists booked include Giammarco Orsini, Anderson, Cristian Sarde, Unai Trotti and Matthias. This project is pawing the way for an upcoming record label, coming in the near future. Born in Cali, Colombia and raised in New York City, DJ and producer Hovy is a steadily making his mark in electronic music. His journey into sound began while studying Film and Cinematography, where a sound design course sparked a deeper fascination with audio and music creation. That experience led him to immerse himself in sound design and scoring, creating original work for a wide range of visual projects including films, fashion editorials, and commercial productions. Through this process, Hovy collaborated with artists and creatives at all levels worldwide, shaping a detailed and cinematic approach to sound that continues to influence his music today. Hovy’s sets are the perfect blend of class, merging his South American roots with his New York City upbringing, which is steeped in r&b, hip hop, jazz funk, house, and techno. His sound defies expectations, merging global electronic influences into something fresh, refined, and sophisticated all at once. Since 2019, Hovy has released six albums, building a reputation as a relentless creator on the rise, with releases on respected labels such as Nervous Records and Moodchild.
