the whole biography
Graeme is a DJ, promoter, and resident of Lotion Collective and Freak NYC, two queer-forward collectives dedicated to building intentional dance floors and community-centered nightlife. Originally from the suburbs of Detroit, he spent six years in Seattle where he helped create Lotion Collective before relocating to New York City to help launch Freak NYC. Equally at home behind the decks and behind the scenes, Graeme approaches DJing as an extension of space-making. His sound is rooted in midwest, purist techno, while also drawing from electro, house, EBM, Italo, and minimal. His selections reward purists while leaving room for unpredictability, balancing deep cuts with occasional left-field turns. Whether opening a room, closing a night, or carrying a dance floor through the early morning hours, Graeme's focus remains the same: creating memorable moments of shared experience through music.“Sharlese is a Seattle-based DJ and radio host who thrives on the unexpected, crafting elegant dialogues between genres—from electro and EBM to Italo and techno.”

Sharlese is a Seattle-based DJ and radio host who thrives on the unexpected, crafting elegant dialogues between genres—from electro and EBM to Italo and techno. She has earned a reputation for weaving intricate, emotionally charged sets on dance floors around the world, with appearances at Tresor, Panorama Bar, Nowadays, MÜLL SF, and Grauzone. Her acclaimed DJ mixes for respected platforms such as KIHDI, BITE, and Pi Pi Pi shine a light on darker, often overlooked sonic realms. For the past 18 years, Sharlese has been an integral part of KEXP, where she currently serves as Producer for The Afternoon Show, Programming Education Manager, and host of Mechanical Breakdown—a program dedicated to off-the-cuff, boundary-pushing underground music. She began DJing in 2012 as a resident at Seattle’s industrial wave event, an experience that—along with hosting shows at Electric Tea Garden—laid the foundation for her live event series False Prophet. For nearly a decade, the series has supported both emerging and established artists, including ADULT., Nuovo Testamento, Xeno & Oaklander, Kris Baha, and Spike Hellis. Sharlese also curates Audiodrome, a monthly party held on the second Saturday at the historic Pony in Seattle. The event explores a wide spectrum of styles—Italo, wave, synth, and electro—and has hosted artists such as Franz Scala, Josh Cheon (Dark Entries), and Beau Wanzer. Audiodrome is streamed live via Intergalactic.fm. In addition to her event work, Sharlese holds residencies with the PNW techno collective secondnature, at Massive Club in Seattle’s Capitol Hill, and on Mutant Radio—an independent online radio station and music platform based in Tbilisi, Georgia—further underscoring her dedication to underground music and her unwavering commitment to making bodies dance.Recently at public records, Nowadays, Camp Kennybrook · often with Helena Hauff, K Wata, adobeprincess, none of them here that night

the whole biography
Jeffrey Sfire is originally from suburban Detroit, where he was introduced to underground dance music and illegal warehouse parties as a teenager in the 90's. This escape from suburbia led him to the dancefloors of the city’s most talented DJs and musicians, who soon exposed him to a new culture of creative riches. Learning by example, Sfire’s taste and skills as a DJ developed naturally and he soon began playing out at parties, clubs and sleazy gay afterhours, entering covertly through back doors or with a fake ID. At the age of 18, a move to Chicago led Sfire to a whole other side of dance music history, including the Italo Disco and High Energy sounds of the 1980s. He spent afternoons digging through record store crates, meeting retired DJs and developing his musical palette. Jeffrey’s style is absolutely unique and clearly tied to the roots of his midwest upbringing and he can be found working the floor out with italo, high nrg, chicago house, and everything WBMX. Having held numerous club residencies, he regularly plays in LA, Detroit, Chicago, and New York, consistently offering a finely-tuned selection at clubs like Basement and Nowadays in NY, Panoramabar Berlin, and Hot Mass in Pittsburgh. He also has a hand in producing parties such as Detroit's infamous Movement weekend queer rager, Club Toilet, and collaborating with Justin Cudmore on a new monthly Sunday party at Signal (NY). Jeffrey is also a gifted producer and one half of production projects: Sfire (with Sophie), Looky Looky, and Pushing Movies with releases on labels such as Dark Entries, Cocktail D’Amore Music and Ultramajic, while his mixes have long been prized for their depth and quality and are often featured as RA mix of the day.House on 6, Deep House on 4, Synth-pop on 4 and New Wave on 3. styles on their catalogued releasesReleased on CockTail d'Amore Music (1), HMRecords (1) and The Brvtalist (1); their RA profile also lists Ultramajic. labels on their catalogued releases and on their RA profileRecently at Club Rawhide, Signal, Good Room · often with Mike Servito, Justin Cudmore, Sterling Juan Diaz, none of them here that night

the whole biography
After getting her start performing at underground poetry events in her hometown, she eventually moved on to playing live beat sets during open mic nights at one of KC's most pivotal queer nightlife institutions of the 21st century, the Uptown Arts Bar. Occasionally she'd wander upstairs to Niche, a 100-cap club with a legendary sound system known as the Meta HiFi. There she got her first taste of the sounds of the UK bass continuum and the LA beat scene, with its prominent figureheads like Flying Lotus, Ras G and Shlohmo. Ever the nomad, she would spend her mid-twenties traveling, flitting between cities like New York and LA and the mountainous terrain of the Colorado Rockies. At 26 years old, she left behind a stable career in psychotherapy to pursue her creative dreams. This would lead her back to Niche where a ravenous desire to evolve as an artist connected her with Peter Anthony, aka Coughman, who ran the independent KC collective and label, Intelligent Sound. Soon Anthony encouraged Zo and her friends Mazzy Mann and Lorelei Kretsinger to build a platform of their own. In October 2017, the three of them founded the UN/TUCK queer/trans collective and record label. Over the next two years, they tirelessly built UN/TUCK into an internationally recognized platform, releasing their own music and organizing shows and parties curated specifically for trans and queer people in Kansas City. Under the name BTRFLY, Zo produced her own LA-inspired beats and rapped over them in her sets. As she delved further into the realms of Chicago house, early 2000s UK dubstep, and the hybrid sounds of Hessle Audio, Hyperdub and Idle Hands, she discovered a profound love for DJing and a different kind of production. Now based in Brooklyn, she has made definitive creative statements in 2022, releasing her debut EP, Screw Cheek, on acclaimed UK club label, Scuffed Recordings, and a follow-up EP, Freak Shift, on Martyn's hallowed 3024 imprint, as well as a slew of national bookings at Bunker NY, Texture Detroit, Sole Rehab, clubs like Nowadays, Good Room and Kremwerk, festivals like Slingshot and Honcho Campout and many more on the horizon. It's clear that Zo has solidified her place as an emerging artist firmly in her own lane, with tracks that span the continuum of UK bass and North American techno and house, and mixes that seamlessly capture and defy her genres of interest, blending deep dark percussive bass and broken beat with blistering techno, psychedelic house, east coast club and more.Techno on 24, Bass Music on 22, Breaks on 17 and House on 17. styles on their catalogued releasesReleased on Clasico Records (2) (1), Delusional Records (2) (1) and Grid (6) (1); their RA profile also lists Pineapple Records, 3024, Fever AM, Scuffed Recordings and 1 more. labels on their catalogued releases and on their RA profileRecently at Mansions, Refuge, Jupiter Disco · often with Mui Mui, Sheepshead, S4M23, none of them here that night
