RIVKA R3 NYC is a Brooklyn NYC native and has been listening and dancing to House Music since the mid 80s. She started learning the art of DJing on Technic Turntables in 2004, and she would go vinyl shopping every Friday at Dance Tracks and Satellite Records back in her humble beginnings. RIVKA was surrounded by DJs all her life; it was inevitable a musical journey was in her path. In 2005 till 2017, everyone knew RIVKA under her alias, "RUBI R3 NYC / R-Tres". During the years she held down her own events, residencies, and radio shows. Her reputation spread by creating memorable nights at events such as "SoulGasm NYC", "FunkBox NYC" w/Tony Touch, "I'll House U" w/Oscar P, Golden Record NYC w/Joe Claussell & Vince Watson, "Dreamland NYC" w/SONIwithEye & Eli Escobar, and "Release" w/DJ Disciple. Also, she's had the opportunity to open for Tony Humphries, Anańe, Mr. V, Jeannie Hopper, and DJ EBAR. In 2017, she opened for Grammy Winner "Hex Hector" at CLUB CIELO and played a 3 hour set. In 2020, RIVKA decided to learn Abelton Live, and she is now a respected music producer of Deep House, Detroit Techno, Acid House, Tribal House. She is also creating Hip-Hop beats, and Drum-N-Bass as well. Forward to 2023 and current, RIVKA has been picked up by record labels by "Open Bar Music", "Kolour Recordings", and "Mavek Recordings". RIVKA's is musically inspired by Todd Terry, Larry Heard, Wayne Gardiner, Tyree Cooper, Kerri Chandler, MAW, Nick Holder, Derrick May, Juan Atkins, Mike Huckaby, Vince Watson, Kraftwerk, to name a few. One of Brooklyn’s purist DJs, RUBI (R3, NYC) aka RIVKA R3 NYC has been bringing her Underground sound to the dance floors since 2004. She enjoys going out of bounds in selecting unique tracks and sharing them with like-minded music lovers. Her versatility in dance music is undeniable as she can deliver House, Deep House, Techno-Soul, Acid, Tribal, Afro, Soulful, and rare Classics. RUBI grew up listening to House Music since 1986. Her biggest influences are artist such as Larry Heard, Todd Terry, Frankie Knuckles, and DJ Disciple. Surrounded by DJ’s most of her life, it was inevitable that aside from expressing herself through dance, she was meant to tell her own musical journey. RUBI began by telling her own stories through online radio shows such as Downshift Radio, Frisky Radio, NYC House Radio to name a few, and also held down residencies on Pre-Party Radio, and SSRadio UK Deep & Soulful back in 2006 till 2009. As RUBI's reputation evolved in the nightlife, she's had opportunities in playing at popular events with artist such as Vince Watson, Joe Claussell and Joey Anderson at the Golden Record event (Bogart House), Hex Hector at TOCA (Cielo), Tony Humphries (Bar 13), Tony Touch (FunkBox NYC), Anańe (NYC DEEP), Jacky Sommer & Kat Smith (Analog Soul), DJ Disciple (FEEL REAL), and Mr. V (Sole Channel) to name a few. Currently, RUBI R3 is going by her alias RIVKA R3 NYC and releasing her own music, and you can check it out on Bandcamp, Beatport, Apple Music, Spotify, and more streaming sites.Recently at Jade, Café Balearica, Herbert Von King Park · often with Melowdee, Rebel Fusion NYC, Friend, none of them here that night
