Night & Day returns with one of its most intriguing lineups yet. Across seventeen hours, Signal welcomes a cast of selectors whose relationship to darkness, atmosphere, and surprise has made them favorites among dancers who like the darker, stranger side of club music.
Ivan Smagghe leads the charge, a true cult figure whose sets have long lived somewhere between post-punk romanticism, psychedelic dance music, and elegant spontaneity. Smagghe is sure to control the room with his deep genre knowledge and story-telling ability. Youandewan follows with the subtle touch behind their label Deep Sea Frequency, bringing the kind of patient, emotionally detailed house and techno that is perfect for technical, close listening.
RSVP discount ticket is paid at the door. RSVPs are one per person, so anyone coming with you will need to submit their own. We cut off RSVPs at 11pm, and you'll need to be checked in at the door by that time to receive the discounted rate. Plan to arrive early rather than risk being in line when the clock hits 11. Keep in mind that an RSVP does not guarantee entry, as the venue can fill up. Buying a full price ticket ahead of time is the surest way to guarantee your spot.

His genre defying/defining production from Black Strobe, It’s A Fine Line, Smagghe & Cross and now Ivan & Johnny has connected him to and garnered the praise from the likes of Craig Richards, Vladimir Ivkovic, Paranoid London, Solar and of course, his long time friend Andrew Weatherall - all fellow crusaders in the fight to prove that electronic music is so much more than a one dimensional soundtrack for a night on the lash, and so much more than an Instagram account. In January 2020, Smagghe & Cross released their second LP, 1819, on Offen Music and are working on a new lp for the end of the 2025. Ivan & Johnny is his project with Quinn from Paranoid London, it will cater exclusively to the furthest corners of the dancefloors. After co-running the legendary french label and parties, “Kill The DJ,” Ivan washeading up his own imprint, “Les Disques De La Mort”; an outlet for a unique taste in music and spanning releases & remixes from long staples (Manfredas, Cosmo Vitelli, Marco Passarani, I-Cube, Red Axes, Roman Fluegel) & special new comers (Elles, Sworn Virgins, Zillas on Acid). LDDLM is a label that is always faithful to an instinctively recognisable “style of no style” and the refusal to be pigeonholed. Covid reframed the way of making and diffusing music : whilst thinking of reactivating some label action, Ivan has opened Amor Fati with Niv Arzi from Red Axes, a counterintuitive blog page giving away edits to whoever wants them. The collaboration between these two may take form in Customs & Faces, a new outlet and an Axes x Smagghe 12”. “Dresden”, the party/dj duo Ivan shares with Lithuanian legend Manfredas is a celebratory manifestation of Ivan’s ethos and has expanded from London & Vilnius residencies to world touring. Look out for their all-nighters (and their recordings), their t-shirt collabs with Magic Castles and soon, their not-so-functional club music. Ivan also has been transmitting on NTS, London’s Uber-cool London radio.Channeling, his much-loved show with Nathan Gregory Wilkins has kept strange music aficionados on their toes for more than ten years, You can catch Ivan subverting the masses any given weekend in clubs & festivals such as Lux/Lisbon, Nitsa/Barcelona, Rex/Paris, In Between/Los Angeles, Corsica Studios/London, DC10/IbizaNuits Sonores/Lyon, Love International/Croatia, Waking Life/Crato, Houghton/Norfolk and many other dens of iniquity worldwide.Their RA profile lists fabric Records, Kill The DJ, The Flame Recordings, Live At Robert Johnson and 3 more.Recently at H0L0, Outer Heaven, Good Room · often with Berghain, 3. the whole biography
Lauren Flax has been a lifelong musician, starting to play the drums at 8 years old before continuing on to guitar and bass in high school. She began her DJ career in the underground dance and rave scenes of Detroit as a resident at the Motor Lounge, playing every Tuesday night along with resident DJs Mike Servito, DJ Dilemma, Jason Kendig, and Derek Plaslaiko. Flax played the very first Detroit Electronic Music Festival in 2000 on the Motor stage. While originally starting off as a jungle DJ, Flax evolved her style into a variety techno, house, and electro music. Flax moved to Chicago in 1999, where she honed in on music production while continuing to DJ. By 2002, she relocated again to Manhattan, which shortly followed the release of her first remix, "Much Finer" for Le Tigre. In 2018, Flax was introduced to DJ Haus by fellow Detroit musician and friend Jimmy Edgar, to which he quickly signed a record, resulting in "Dance Trax Vol. 16" (2018). In 2019, Flax joined the mostly Detroit-born New York collective The Bunker New York,[1] on which she released "One Man’s House is Another Woman’s Techno EP" (2019). The EP was highly successful and sold out quickly. Flax met with Brooklyn-based record label 2MR in 2019, curious to explore beyond the realm of dance music. She remixed 'Breathe' by label-mate Pale Blue, and that ended up inspiring Flax's new style of music. After the remix was released, Flax took to writing a 6 track EP, merging genres of ambient, acid house, and much more, set to come out in Summer 2021. Flax started touring the United States and Europe as a solo artist in 2019, performing live analog sets, pushing the boundaries of what a DJ is defined as.House on 39, Techno on 22, Acid House on 13 and Electro on 17. styles on their catalogued releasesReleased on WRKTRX (3), Aliens On Wax (1) and House Of Efunk Records (1); their RA profile also lists Defected Records, !K7, Toolroom Records, Nervous Records and 6 more. labels on their catalogued releases and on their RA profileRecently at Knockdown Center, Nowadays, Museum of Sex - NYC · often with Sevyn 0000, Austin Kunis, Costume Design, none of them here that night

Patrick Russell is a true veteran of the US underground, perhaps one of the last unsung heroes of a now lost era in the Midwest. A genuine sonic storyteller, he magically transforms the diaspora of acid, pure jack energy, and hints of IDM into a deep, fluent sonic dialog that never fails to devastate both minds and dance floor. A Detroit-bred DJ, artist, and producer active since the early 90's, Patrick has now made New York City his home. Perhaps best known as a key figure in the legendary No Way Back parties, his ability to weave intensely unique, long-format narratives has earned him critical acclaim and repeat performances at Japan’s Labyrinth festival, Berghain, Unsound, and DEMF/Movement. Patrick has also been steadily building a strong catalog of high-profile productions to compliment his increasingly varied, hypnotic, and in-demand DJ sets; his recent 3-track remix EP on The Bunker New York also marks his induction as an official resident DJ at the long-running Brooklyn party. His consummate taste and disciplined execution have created a respect that cannot be purchased. Patrick Russell is not just a name to watch, he is someone to be experienced.Techno on 34, Experimental on 8, Ambient on 6 and Acid on 7. styles on their catalogued releasesReleased on On Board Music (2) (1), Standards & Practices (2) (1) and useless seconds (1); their RA profile also lists BPitch, Circus Company, Delsin, Blank Artists and 6 more. labels on their catalogued releases and on their RA profileRecently at public records, Nowadays, Club Rawhide · often with Mike Servito, BMG, Carlos Souffront, none of them here that night
