We're kicking off August with Brooklyn-based DJ and and UPLIFTED co-founder, Bridge, playing alongside Justin Carter. Bridge's style is rooted in classic house, gospel house, disco and ballroom. But beyond her sound, what we really love about Bridge is her centering of the dance floor. A careful reader of the vibe, she's dedicated to creating a space where people are "invited to shine, to feel powerful, expressive, and fully themselves". A kindred spirit indeed.
Bridge will open, playing 3pm to 6pm. Justin, a long servant to the vibe himself, will play from 6pm to 8pm, and the two will go back to back for the last hour of the party.

Bridge is a Brooklyn-based DJ and performer who transforms the dancefloor into a shared stage. In her world, the audience becomes part of the spectacle, invited to shine, to feel powerful, expressive, and fully themselves. For Bridge, House and Disco are not simply genres, they are vehicles for freedom and collective celebration. Born in Italy and shaped by a global perspective, she brings a deeply rooted sound to international stages, paying homage to the Black and queer origins of the music she loves while bridging its legacy to modern dance floors. Rooted in classic and gospel house, disco, and ballroom, her sets are transportive, vocally driven experiences where presence, movement, and energy are all intentional parts of the show. Rather than following the conventional DJ-producer path, Bridge has carved a distinct journey centered on curation, performance, and storytelling. Her fluid genre-blending and magnetic stage presence have earned the attention of artists like Stacey Hotwaxxhale, Natasha Diggs, Joey Llanos, David DePino, and Barbara Tucker. Bridge is the founder of UPLIFTED, a party series rooted in joy, liberation, and the deep legacy of Black house music, and co-founder of Powerhaus, a Brooklyn-based house music collective. His practices of space making and music are intertwined, aligning to create moments for community and catharsis. Among his tools are turntables, his voice and records that create either vast, detailed scenes in the mind, the deep urge to move the body, or both. In his early teens, Justin started playing guitar and spending his nights at underground shows at makeshift venues in his small town in the southwest of Virginia. Arriving in NYC in the late 90s, he started performing at and organizing events in the early Brooklyn DIY scene, starting to DJ in 2003. He soon became a resident DJ, booking person and the label manager at Nublu and the Music Director and a resident DJ at APT, two of the last bastions of underground dance music in the wake of 9/11 and the 90s culture wars. Between 2009 and 2011, Justin and fellow DJ Eamon Harkin started Mister Saturday Night and Mister Sunday, parties that happened mostly in friends’ loft spaces and back yards. In 2015, spurred by a need for more permanent space for their own parties as well as a desire to create space for the larger nightlife community, they opened Nowadays. Justin runs and regularly performs at a series called Planetarium, an event where people bring pillows, blankets and sleeping bags, lie in silence and listen deeply to music. He also co-owns Mister Saturday Night Records, a label that's released music and mixes by Suso Saiz, Esteban Adame, CCL, Anthony Naples, Musclecars, Avalon Emerson, Rena Anakwe and Floating Points. As a musician, Justin has released an album of solo material called "The Leaves Fall" (2017) as well as collaborative EPs with The Twilite Tone and Move D.
