PlayPlay combines their penchant for percussion and bass with nostalgic samples & dreamy synths in both their DJ sets & music production. Their sound is inspired by over two decades of raving, crate digging and the sounds they grew up dancing to - 90s club anthems, jungle and DnB, minimal wave, classic house, techno and old school hip-hop. They have played at venues such as Good Room, Elsewhere, Jupiter Disco, MOMA PS1, and Bossa Nova Civic Club and at festivals such as Brooklyn Mag Festival. Over the past decade, they've had the privilege of playing alongside artists such as Big Freedia, TT the Artist, Le1f, Quest?onmarc, MikeQ, GRRL, UNIIQU3, Jubilee and Bored Lord, releasing guest mixes on The Lot Radio, Rinse FM, WIDE Radio, JEROME Worldwide and more. With releases out on labels such as Clasico Records, Sorry Records, Worst Behavior and Delusional Records, as well as a slew of self-releases and collaborations, PlayPlay has been slowly and steadily amassing a thumping discography over the years. Their music has been featured on radio programs such as BBC Radio 1, NTS Radio, Rinse FM and the Lot Radio and can be heard in underground clubs around the world (some of which they're probably dancing in). PlayPlay also loves to collaborate, remixing music from artists such as Bored Lord and Big Dipper and and has had their music remixed by Suzi Analogue, Jasmine Infiniti, Bored Lord, James Bangura, Scottie B, Escaflowne and more. PlayPlay and fellow queer southern producer C Powers have released their collaborative, slow cooked breakbeat EP Breaking Capacity under the moniker PowerPlay on Sorry Records. They currently host two parties: Breaking Capacity, a quarterly party dedicated to all things breaks, and Satisfaction of What’s to Come, a quarterly party celebrating the many iterations of house music.House on 8, Techno on 6, Breaks on 6 and Breakbeat on 5. styles on their catalogued releasesReleased on Clasico Records (2) (1), Delusional Records (2) (1) and No Bias (1); their RA profile also lists Sorry Records, FPE Records and Worst Behavior Recs. labels on their catalogued releases and on their RA profileRecently at H0L0, public records, Paragon · often with Janus Rose, Lychee, David Lunch, none of them here that night

"MF BUTCH" is a Brooklyn-based DJ, multimedia artist, and event organizer. Through their work, they re-contextualize and reclaim what it means to be butch for both themselves and their community. As a musician, MF BUTCH's voice is genre and gender-less, spanning the familiar and unfamiliar. Tracing historical connections through music offers them an opportunity to ground their work in the lineages of those who came before them, while offering an optimistic vision for the future. They host a monthly radio show Stone Butch Blues on 8 Ball Radio, and have performed at regularly at Mood Ring, Elsewhere, and Jupiter Disco. They also co-founded and co-organize for 'planetqueer', a creative collective that works to break down the accessibility barriers Queer and BIPOC DJ's face in the electronic music community and create an affirming community for all to feel welcome, supported, and platformed.Recently at Jade, Mood Ring, Trans-Pecos · often with Alex Viper, Anito Soul, CMD+JAZMINE, none of them here that night
