Rooted in the Midwest’s underground scene, she channels the spirit of late ‘90s/early 2000s dance floors—where rhythm reigned supreme. Since her breakout in 2012, she’s dropped heat on Fabric, shaped labels like Partisan and Pillz, and launched her own imprint, Psionic. From Robert Johnson and Concrete to Resolute, ADE, Off-Sonar, and Epizode, Oshana has left her mark on some of the world’s most iconic dance floors. Dance music was always about having fun. It’s an ethos that has not escaped Cesar Merveille, the Paris-born enchanter whose ascent through the ranks of house and techno has been powered by an irrepressible joie de vivre, matched only by a desire to be challenged by everything he does. Encouraged by creative freedom during his formative years, Cesar learnt to listen to his instincts and keep a healthy dose of soul in everything he turned his hand to. The following years, spent immersed in London’s underground, soon found Cesar holding residencies for such fabled parties as Lo-Kee and the T-Bar. It was his later partnership with Cadenza that propelled really Cesar to the world stage, providing a platform for his music to reach a broad audience and enabling him to command dancefloors big and small the world over. Such exposure has also given rise to new artistic ventures, most notably working with long-time friend Ryan Crosson on the “DRM” project. The full-length album from the pair came to light on Visionquest, providing space for them to explore textures and moods unconstrained by the dancefloor’s demands. From his current base in Berlin, Cesar has embraced the natural workflow of hardware production, immersing himself in a studio powered by machines and intuition. His new label Roche Madame is a product of this, channeling the creative energy of musical allies to give rise to new collaborations. Inspired by a secret family location off the coast of Brittany, the label is both a tribute to his roots and a celebration of the here and now, a moment that Cesar is forever living in. Born and rooted in the NYC underground, Amy is a producer, DJ, and sound engineer shaped by her music composition studies at Berklee College of Music, a background that guides her ever evolving sound. Her music moves between intention and play, drifting through house, minimal, electro, deep, dub techno, and bent shades of jazz. Her artistic vision has been shaped by more than a decade of study, digging, producing, mixing, mastering, and living within the underground culture of New York City. She first stepped into the world of production and mixing records at the age of 15 through an internship at a NYC DJ and music production school, where long afternoons in the studio and trips to Halcyon and A1 Records opened the door to a deeper musical world. Her early mentors introduced her to the discipline behind the craft and helped refine her approach to sound. At the age of 17, she began performing at venues that helped shape Brooklyn’s underground dance music scene, such as TBA Brooklyn and Output. Her technical training later grew at SAE Institute NYC, where she explored recording, mixing, and mastering. She continues to explore the layers of her musical curiosity, shaping them into a sound that remains both intricate and personal. She has appeared alongside artists who inspire her, such as Priku, Sepp, Chklte, Cristian AB, Giammarco Orsini, O.bee, Tomas Station, Sweely, DJ W!LD, Acid Pauli, Guy J, Tinlicker, Liquid Earth, & more.
