TUNNELWERK begins a new chapter at Bar Jade (Bed-Stuy, Brooklyn) with a night dedicated to Deep & Hypnotic Techno on Tuesday 08.18.26
Designed as a fully immersive experience, this event showcases the cutting edge of Proper Techno, featuring forward-thinking sounds from across the globe. Conor Krane of White Owl Records joins forces with Brooklyn-native XSB-R for extended all-night DJ sets, unleashing hypnotic grooves, industrial textures, and dark machine-driven atmospheres that blur the line between the organic and the synthetic. Expect a relentless sonic journey built for those who appreciate Proper Techno at its deepest and most uncompromising.
White Owl Records cofounder Conor Krane develops the cyborg-demonic undercurrents of Techno through precise studio tracks, undulating DJ mixes, and raw hardware live sets.
Conor Krane and XSB-R’s friendship began in October 2025, when XSB-R stumbled upon Conor’s It Melts Off My Bones EP at Gramophone Records in Chicago after hours spent sifting through miscategorized records. Needless to say, the moment the EP’s namesake track began to play, something clicked. What followed were months of conversations about Techno, watching Conor perform at the November 2025 Senses Presents, and shared memories at the May 2026 EvilGroove Showcase. Before long, it became clear that all of those moments had been building toward the same conclusion, we had to bring our worlds together and put on a dance night of our own!
Prepare for an unforgettable night of hypnotic grooves balanced with touches of industrial elements. This event is not for the faint of heart and is certainly not to be missed by connoisseurs of Underground Proper Techno

XSB-R (acronym for 48-2) is the electronic music project of Brooklyn native Henry Chen. Raised in the New York Tri-State area, Henry’s musical foundation was shaped by countless nights immersed in the region’s Goth, Industrial, and Dark Techno dancefloors. XSB-R channels these deep-rooted influences, aiming to embody cultural heritage and musical lineage while serving as a messenger for dark electronic sounds from across the globe Beyond his own project, Henry founded TUNNELWERK, a platform dedicated to showcasing Acid, EBM, Noise, and Underground Techno music. The monthly series highlights both local DJs and producers, fostering a space for community and exploration within the darker edges of electronic music.
