Area X is a zone of altered conditions...a remote and lush sonic terrain where movement is not commoditized but reclaimed as an ancestral right. Rhythm becomes the organizing principle, dissolving hierarchy and restoring balance through shared motion.
What emerges is instinctive, arising through communal exchange: between dancers, frequencies, and the unspoken agreement to remain present.
For this expedition, we venture into a place where time folds in on itself, where loops echo into the abyss, and a new pulse originates. We witness what change can happen and imagine where we can go from here.

꩜ Casual Treatment is known for his refined sound that bridges the gap between timeless influences and a forward-thinking production style. With an unwavering commitment to authenticity & drawing inspiration from the rich history of techno, Casual Treatment crafts tracks that are both powerful and precise.
His discography includes releases on prestigious labels such as Token, Jeff Mills’ Axis Records, Mord, Semantica and Hayes, affirming his position as a respected producer with a distinctive commitment to the craft. After a decade of crafting his sound, he launched in 2023 Treatment Records, a label dedicated to showcasing innovative, essential techno with a stripped-back ethos.
꩜ Noid is a DJ and curator based in Brooklyn and co-founder of Vortex Collective. His sound fuses sleek, hypnotic grooves with ethereal atmospheres and textures, moving fluidly between techno, trance, and low-end psychedelia to build immersive sets that thrive in atmosphere and intrigue.
꩜ dj33L is a DJ and organizer based in NYC. A product of Brooklyn’s DIY music scene, he seeks to contribute more ways in which we can hold space for each other and advance our shared journey of understanding and self discovery. dj33L is drawn to hypnotic and minimal techno as the foundation of his sound, also shaped by hardgroove and punk influences. This manifests as warmth, spaciousness, and possibility.
꩜ R-DNA is a Ukrainian-born DJ and curator known for a driving take on hypnotic, minimal, and hardgroove techno. An emerging force in New York’s underground, their sound is rooted in self-liberation and belonging — primal, meditative, and healing, for dancefloors where the communal and the deeply personal collapse into one. R-DNA also hosts tension/release, a techno-rooted, community-driven show on Newtown Radio.
꩜ Cow Tools is a DJ based in NYC, shaped by the underground forest parties she helped organize while living in the UK. She gravitates toward hypnotic techno, minimal techno, and hardgroove, foraying into other genres to draw from softer and harder ends of the spectrum. The result is entrancing and varied, dreamlike and groovy, ethereal and sharp. Also a writer, she finds particular delight in crafting expertly paced sets with a strong sense of narrative arc.

R-DNA's selections are guided by a deep belief in the meditative, healing power of electronic music — an ethos shaped by years immersed in the underground queer scenes of Berlin, Buenos Aires, and Taipei before moving to New York. Their sound follows long emotional arcs built through extended blends and subtle shifts, moving fluidly between minimal, percussive depth and hardgroove peak-time pressure — drawing on the tension and release that defines both dancefloor ritual and personal transformation. As host of tension/release on Newtown Radio, R-DNA extends that ethos into curation — platforming emerging queer and FLINTA* artists in NYC and beyond through a techno-rooted, genre-fluid format that prioritizes depth over trend.Recently at Honey's, SILO, Mood Ring · often with masha latte, 1ol1v1a, SEDENTARY, none of them here that night
