Though her music can be considered techno, she takes inspiration from Chicago house, Belizean genres punta and brukdown, and the queer club scene worldwide. These influences can be heard on 2020’s “MUAs at the End of the World” EP (Femme Culture); 2019’s "Organism" (Majía) and “Shell” (Head Charge); 2017’s “Cyst” (Boukan Records); and on mixes for Rinse FM, Dummy, Truants, and NTS. Her ruthless, cross genre DJs sets have been heard worldwide. Brooklyn selector Coyado builds heat from the ground up—heavy dub pressure, Latin percussion, and club constructions designed for bodies in motion. His sets move with intention, layering the low-end rumble of soundsystem culture against the polyrhythmic snap of dembow and cumbia, finding pockets where Caribbean bassweight and New York grit lock into the same groove.
