When one could assume, &ME entered the House and Techno world somewhat out of the blue, it is due to his sublime modesty that’s already captured in his alias. His way to become one of today’s most praised and sought after DJ/producers is based on a solid foundation. To make common cause with Fetisch, delivering beats for their joint venture Terranova and releasing EPs and an album on Kompakt plus his collaborations with Nic Fanciulli and releases on Saved Records and his project NR& with fellow producer Rampa and singer Nomi (Hercules & Love Affair, Jessica 6) are just a few milestones of that path. Not to forget his solo productions, that made himself a name in a quite unparalleled way. “F.I.R.” – his first release on keinemusik, a collective of Berlin based DJs and producers, including Rampa, Adam Port, David Mayer, Reznik & artist Monja Gentschow, he helped founding in 2009, was a massive clubhit, but in the end not much more than a foretaste of things to come. With productions on various labels, his reputation as a gifted producer and DJ extraordinaire spread into international realms, and that’s where he stands right now, as his blend of Techno and soulful Housemusic took incredible shape: Many new projects in focus and clearly visible as one of the most unique and original figures in the game.Their RA profile lists Green, Souvenir Music, Saved Records, Liebe*Detail Spezial and 2 more.Recently at The Rose, Brooklyn Storehouse, Flushing Meadows Corona Park · often with kollektiv b_aware, ◢◤ DRAGON (House, Melodic), ◢ Concept, none of them here on Friday

Growing up in the midst of skating and hip-hop culture, he found his musical start as a beatmaker before eventually pivoting to electronic music. After discovering house music in particular, he became a dedicated student of the genre and used that to his advantage as he progressively made waves in his home country of Brazil, both as a meticulous producer and mesmerizing performer. In recent months, his presence has gone global as he’s embarked upon an expansive North American tour with multiple sold out dates in tow, dominated a laundry list of festivals internationally, done B2B sets with the likes of Vintage Culture, and is now headed toward a slot at the church, Circoloco this summer. With standout releases like “False Need” via Black Book alongside an exponentially growing fanbase with over 1 million followers, not to mention a smash forthcoming remix for The Martinez Brothers.Their RA profile lists Nervous Records, Black Book Records and Dtuned Records.Recently at Knockdown Center, Under the K Bridge, Brooklyn Army Terminal · often with Berghain, nocapz., DJ SWISHA, none of them here on Friday

From 2009 on, Rampa made a name of himself through Keinemusik, his own little d.i.y.-cosmos, being not only label, but also crew of likeminded DJs, producers and friends. The teamwork within this realm has seen a serious number of productions and collaborations, particularly with fellow producer &ME, not to forget the rest of the bunch, Adam Port, Reznik and Monja. Besides, he’s got an array of other collaborations and releases under his belt, put out on imprints like Cocoon, Innervisions, Strictly Rhythm, Kompakt, 2020 Vision, Freerange, Bpitch Control, Diynamic or Crosstown Rebels. The events of the last few years have seen Rampa focussing more and more on the production side of things, be it studio work or the inauguration of his TEILE project – his own company to produce and distribute analogue effects, custom built for DJ-purposes. Certainly also an outlet for a slight nerdism, that includes not only studio gear, but instruments in general. Chances are you’ll find him in the studio, swinging the drumstick or banging on some bongos. When it comes to DJing itself, he is going for a less is more approach these days, choosing bookings and playing more consciously.Their RA profile lists Defected Records, Cocoon Recordings, Get Physical Music, International DeeJay Gigolo Records and 6 more.Recently at Pacha New York, Brooklyn Storehouse, Flushing Meadows Corona Park · often with Palms Trax, Prospa, Job Jobse, none of them here on Friday
“Seth Troxler is one of electronic music’s most instantly recognisable artists.”
their own biography
the whole biography
Seth Troxler is one of electronic music’s most instantly recognisable artists. He has carved out his own unique path as a cultural commentator, art curator, restaurateur and entrepreneur. Descended from a family of cowboys and Baptist preachers, Seth is part African-American, with a singular approach to viewing the world through the prism of contemporary music culture. Born in Kalamazoo, Michigan, and raised in suburban Detroit, Seth learnt the art of DJing initially from his stepfather (then a college radio DJ) and later from working, at only 16, behind the counter in legendary Detroit record store ‘Melodies & Memories’. It wasn’t until Seth made the decision to explore new horizons in the mid-2000s, moving to Berlin fresh out of his teens (after debuting at Panorama Bar at just 18 years old), that his DJ career really took off. Since the move from Detroit to Berlin, then settling in London for a number of years, and now with his time divided between Ibiza and Berlin (Round 2), Seth has established himself as one of the world biggest DJs (voted the world’s number one DJ in scene bible Resident Advisor and gracing the front cover of Mixmag three times). He’s equally at home playing to the smoke-filled dance floors of some of the world’s most discerning nightclubs, such as CircoLoco, fabric (London), Nordstern (Basel), The Lux (Lisbon) or Blitz (Munich), as he is headlining the world’s largest festivals, like Glastonbury, Movement, Roskilde or Sonar. Right from the word go, Seth has been as passionate about food and contemporary art as he is about music, and these two interests have resonated at all points, and in parallel, to his music career. A multi faceted modern artist: he has held residencies at talismanic music institutions, run numerous record labels, and pursued his own solo recording career (including the recent ‘Play In The Dark’ collaboration with the Martinez Brothers on Crosstown Rebels, and ‘Lumartes’ that kick started CircoLoco Recordings in Summer 2021). Furthermore Seth has found the time to launch the successful Smokey Tails’ restaurant in London, to create and host his own party during the Rio Carnival, and then to stop everything and to take the time out to climb Kilimanjaro for charity. More recently Seth has focussed his creative energies on his ‘Lost Souls of Saturn’ project, alongside Phil Moffa and further opaque participants, that sits firmly at the intersection between futuristic electronica, contemporary art and technology. In 2019 Lost Souls Of Saturn presented their audio/visual installation Transmission at the Saatchi Gallery in London, after its premiere during Art Basel in Switzerland, and collaborated with the Met in New York and the Fondation Beyeler in Basel in 2021. Lost Souls Of Saturn are currently recording their second album and conducting further experiments in augmented reality and virtual reality, which will be revealed soon. Extremely well travelled, constantly searching and experiencing, Seth Troxler continues to follow his own unique path.Their RA profile lists Ninja Tune, Crosstown Rebels, Warp Records, Universal Music and 6 more.Recently at Pacha New York, Refuge, 99 Scott Ave · often with Loco Dice, Victor Calderone, Bedouin, none of them here on Friday
