“Legend has it that Hólmar was born under the winter solstice in the remote highlands of Iceland, to one of the Hidden People communes.”

    their own biography

    the whole biography
Legend has it that Hólmar was born under the winter solstice in the remote highlands of Iceland, to one of the Hidden People communes. His elvish mother passed during childbirth, and one snowy night he was discovered by sheep farmers in the valley below, with a note promising them protection of their flock if they raised him as their own. They agreed—wisely. His childhood was spent on the farm, swimming in mountain lakes with his adoptive mother until a national synchronized swimming coach, hiking nearby, spotted him mid-spin. Soon, young Hólmar was training in Reykjavik, on track for Olympic glory—until a career-ending injury ended his dreams, but launched him into another: dance. He formed the Black Widows troupe and toured Scandinavia, winning competitions and the hearts of audiences. His obsession with making show playlists led to impromptu DJ sets at underground parties—until he was unceremoniously kicked out of the troupe for prioritizing decks over dance rehearsals. Crushed but determined, he moved to New York, started throwing infamous parties in clubs across Manhattan, and co-founded Crack & Speed Records with his Parisian comrade Jef-K, releasing his first records under the monikers Mr. Negative & The Spencer Filipsson Experience. A fateful night at a former brothel on the Lower East Side led to his meeting with Greg Oreck—and the birth of Thugfucker. Their track “Disco Gnome” became the first release on Life and Death Records, and Hólmar spent the next decade touring with them and spreading mischief across the globe. Post-Thugfucker, Hólmar leaned into his inner Acid Tourist—a psychedelic transition that involved at least one synchronized dance in the desert, questionable fashion choices, and zero regrets. A beloved figure on the playa, he’s played transformative sets at Robot Heart, Distrikt, Pink Mammoth, and Mayan Warrior, weaving emotion, humor, and bass into dust-kissed memories that still echo across the sands. He launched new collaborations including Beauty/Beast with Philipp Jung, the supergroup Formerly with Anstascia, Philipp Jung, and Kenny Glasgow as well as projects like Lovestruckk with Nico Stojan, and Theory of Light with Brian Cid. He’s also the co-founder of We Give A Jam, a sonic relief movement in response to the Los Angeles wildfires, bringing together 50+ artists to raise funds via a global music community in partnership with Electronic Groove and Listed Bookings. With his first edit All is Full of Love (Acid Tourist and Rohan Aylan Re-Imagination) released on Acid Tourism, this is only the beginning. • MPeach

    Venezuela · 20 bookings since May 2024

“MPeach, aka Mariana Martín Capriles, is a Venezuelan multidisciplinary artist living in Brooklyn, NY.”

    their own biography

    the whole biography
MPeach, aka Mariana Martín Capriles, is a Venezuelan multidisciplinary artist living in Brooklyn, NY. As a vocalist, producer, DJ, and audiovisual artist, she intertwines bass-heavy electronic sounds with rhythms rooted in traditional music. Having built a body of work that explores sounds of Latin America, the Caribbean, and Africa, as well as the possibilities of these sounds in new electronic territories, MPeach lives in the liminal borderlands between honoring folk sounds rooted in rich cultural histories and envisioning the future of Latin American sound. By engaging Venezuelan folkloric music as a tradition that remains alive and evolving, she challenges stagnant notions of authenticity by creating work that is responsive to the forces that shape its creators, listeners, and dancers, using electronic music as a vehicle for preserving tradition in the collective memory. She has toured across the United States, Latin America, and Europe. MPeach has released music with Dutty Artz, Abstractor, Nacional Records, Interscope, Majia, On the Corner, and her own imprint, Peachtwon. Her music appears in several official motion picture soundtracks, including films such as Piedra, Papel o Tijera and Skate Kitchen, as well as television series like HBO’s Betty. She has performed alongside Arca, Cardopusher also known as Safety Trance, DJ Babatr, DJ Yirvin, and Phran at the first-ever Boiler Room in Caracas, Venezuela.

“Pete Dougherty (aka Moon Boots) was born in Brooklyn and spent his adolescence in the suburbs.”

    their own biography

    the whole biography
Pete Dougherty (aka Moon Boots) was born in Brooklyn and spent his adolescence in the suburbs. Early formative musical memories include hearing MFSB’s “Love Is The Message” at block parties. Cut to high school years jamming along to Daft Punk in the barn with a blacklight on. After studying classical and jazz composition in college, Pete moved to Chicago, the birthplace of house music. He spent years honing his skills as a remixer and DJ and in late 2011, Moon Boots was born. The alias began taking shape with a series of releases for French Express. The label provided Pete with a platform, and he quickly leveled up his craft while touring around the world and eventually moving back to Brooklyn. The first Moon Boots album, First Landing, arrived in 2017 on Anjunadeep, followed two years later by Bimini Road, and then in 2023 by Ride Away. As with his DJ sets, each album blends elements of house, disco, and R&B with a crate’s worth of musical influences. The three records were widely embraced, amassing over 100 million streams. Moon Boots has played everywhere from dimly lit clubs and warehouse parties to massive festivals. Regardless of the DJ booth's location, his objective remains the same: to keep people dancing, with a smile on their faces.
Their RA profile lists Cr2 Records, Anjunadeep, Fool's Gold, Nervous Records and 4 more.

  • Nickodemus

“Nickodemus is a traveler at heart—a connecter of worlds, scenes, and people since the late-90s.”

    their own biography

    the whole biography
Nickodemus is a traveler at heart—a connecter of worlds, scenes, and people since the late-90s. Over his extensive career as a touring DJ and producer, including four albums and canonical tunes like “My Swing es Tropical” and “Cleopatra in New York”, he’s helped pave the way for an inimitable mix of global fusion and the heavy beats we yearn for in the club. His music has long thrived on the close relationships and mutual respect of friends he’s built across the continents, felt through the worldly potions he cooks up in the studio, and spanning electronic sounds rooted in Latin, African, and Eastern instrumentation. His latest album, A Long Engagement, serves as a culmination of the inspirations he’s absorbed and remains rooted in his life as native New Yorker and the city’s nostalgic energy. Nickodemus’ sound is often focused on the connective tissue of his many live collaborations and the electronic solitude of his studio (or record-filled bubble, as he calls it). Through his much-loved label Wonderwheel Recordings, he’s not only regularly releasing some of the most soul-shaking, eclectic sounds in the biz, but focusing deeply on artist development and creating long-lasting moments that live on far longer than their track length. The music you hear in his releases are filled with expression, reflection, and care; they’re both open-minded and deeply focused, a rarity at time in today’s overcrowded music industry. As a remixer, he’s also lent his “Remix Machine” to a wide range of artists including pioneers like Bob Marley and Nina Simone, as well as other like minded genre-welders like Thievery Corporation, Quantic, Natasha Atlas and Mr. Scruff. Throughout his career he’s also carved an important niche in the live music scene with his beloved Turntables on the Hudson parties, that have popped up everywhere from New York to Cairo. Currently on tour around the World with his album "A Long Engagement" which is another portrait into the importance of shared ideas and the dialogue artists can share when they look past language or place of birth. It’s another bass-heavy global party and we’re all invited.
Their RA profile lists Ninja Tune, United Recordings, Yoruba Records, Tru Thoughts and 1 more.
