Born and raised in Queens, a city dweller and a club kid, Kilopatrah has an innate and superlative gift for transferring energy from the booth to the dance floor—through exciting house, techno, and jungle, and moments that both harken to Sound Factory–era glory days and bring you to sweaty BPMs of the future. Their sets are palpably personal: The dance floor has always been a powerful platform for expression for Kilo, once as a freeing and connecting space for a quiet house dancer and now as one for moving others like them. When Kilo gets going, you’ll lose sense of the kick drum versus the beat of your own body against the floor. That’s a gift from them to you, and your percussion is a gift back to them. Kilo brings their energetic sass to a monthly Lot Radio residency and to parties with impressive lineups, playing alongside Todd Terry home in New York, at the legendary Movement weekend Club Toilet in Detroit, and for Boiler Room. Their mixes, for series such as Coloring Lessons, Honcho, and Juanita’s, and for spots on Rinse and Refuge, also capture the club at its most euphoric. Call Super is the primary moniker of Joseph Richmond Seaton, a DJ and musician from London who has carved out his own place in the landscape of electronic music. Defined by a meticulous approach to the composition, production, art direction and presentation of his work, every release encapsulates Joseph’s idiosyncratic vision. It is a colourful world that gives life to the shadows and throws a mist over the boundaries that have become so commonplace in electronic music. His record The Present Tense provided the launching point for Houndstooth (the label arm of London’s fabric nightclub). The following two releases, Black Octagons and Depicta/Acephale, cemented his status as one of the brightest new talents to emerge in the current wave of producers disturbing the musical landscape. Next up came Suzi Ecto, his debut album, which was widely regarded as one of the standout long players of 2014. Described by Pitchfork as one of “the most evocative sound worlds that the genre has seen” it featured in many annual polls from WIRE magazine to Resident Advisor, topping those at XLR8R and Juno Plus. Alongside his work as Ondo Fudd for influential label The Trilogy Tapes, his collaboration with Beatrice Dillon for Hessle Audio and two releases for Dekmantel, he has been compared to Ricardo Villalobos, Jon Hassell and Brian Eno. His second LP Arpo arrived in 2017 and was greeted to similar praise to his first, with The Guardian hailing it as “outstanding” and DJ magazine naming it Album of the Year. This all stands alongside Seaton’s revered work as a DJ. His esteemed entry into the Fabric mix CD canon “brought to mind one of Salvador Dali’s famous clock faces—at almost every quarter-hour a tactile shift takes place, where sounds seem to melt away, revealing a strange new psychic space.” [Pitchfork]. This deft ability to craft sets known for their hypnotic intensity and musical breadth has brought him across the world and been recently showcased on BBC Radio 1’s The Essential Mix. His versatility is seen in the range of his schedule, from headline slots at Sónar festival’s 25th anniversary in Barcelona, to his regular appearances at the Golden Pudel, Hamburg’s famous sweatbox and Berlin’s Panorama Bar. Her career to date has been characterised by a contemporary, U.K. take on the classic Motor City sound. The expansive, emotional visions of the early Techno pioneers are reflected in Celeste's open take to her craft. Her approach to production has leant her DJing a breath that has earned her a distinct enthusiasm amongst today's electronic music base. This freedom is reflected on the platforms she shares her craft through - her regular NTS Radio show, and more recently, her label Peach Discs. These outlets provide Shanti with a place to amplify talent she meets, hears and wants to help along the way.
