We’re backkkkkkkkkkk!!!
Friday October 9th, we’re returning for the next installment of our residency at Bossa Nova Civic Club
We have the immense privilege of welcoming Atlanta audio architect, DJ, and club visionary
JSPORT’s work is exactly the kind of boundary-pushing club language that excites us, inviting anyone who listens to imagine new possibilities for the form. Traces of Black music from all over the globe collide within their expansive club framework that pays homage to the litany of Black music that’s informs them.
We’re also excited to welcome Petal! Petal is a NY-native DJ and producer based in Brooklyn, part of a newer generation of DJs in the city we’re loving right now who bring a fresh and exploratory energy to the dancefloor.
Both JSPORT and Petal share an expansive way of thinking about what Black electronic music is, what it can be, and where it can go next. We’re so excited to share the night with them and y’all, celebrating that spirit together.
Come dance with us!
SLICK DOWN is a collective and party that is led by and centers Black people. Everyone is welcome but we ask that you be considerate and mindful of this as you move through the night.
Absolutely no racism, anti-blackness, transphobia, homophobia, sexism, sexual harassment, or other disrespectful language and behavior will be tolerated whatsoever.
If you experience or witness any of this while at the event, please inform Love Higher, Simisola, wahala.wav, venue staff or security
Bossa Nova Civic Club is wheelchair accessible and there are 4 single stall bathrooms on site
We will have fentanyl testing strips available by the DJ booth and/or the bar
