    the whole biography
Titonton Duvante has long been a cult favourite of those who know for well over two decades. Hailing from Columbus in Ohio, his musical and heady sound has a certain kick to it that root you to the floor yet always help you arrive at your destination. With more than 25 years in the industry, he has kept himself at the forefront of the scene both as a DJ and producer, spearheading his Residual Recordings (formed in 1998) with acclaimed releases from himself and many other artists such as Boo Williams & John Tejada. Being a multi instrumentalist from a young age reflects in Duvante’s ever green sound, with a class that will never fade away. In the studio he has cooked up releases on a great deal of the vital labels out there, positioning himself where you dream to be when you start out as an artist. With over 50 releases to his name, Titonton is showing no signs in taking his foot off the gas. He is as productive as ever in 2023 with more lined up on a great variation of platforms. The coming years will see him casting a lot of attention to his Residual imprint, several records are already in the pipeline. In the booth he is just as accomplished: his tight mixing and on point selections - as well as superb scratching skills - make for considered dance floor adventures that always get people deep into the groove. Old school yet firmly looking forward, he is a real master of his art who imbues everything he does with the sort of passion and knowledge that always stands him apart. Maintaining the rhythms of the past, and combining them with the fresh and unique flavours you will find in record stores of recent times. Busy as ever times for the Ohio based DJ, recently he has played much loved and critically acclaimed events like Freerotation in the UK and Dimensions in Croatia;, Brave Factory in Ukraine, at all of which he did a live PA. Resident Advisor’s 21st Birthday event & Dweller Festival both in New York, Boiler Room in Philadelphia, Interdimensional Transmissions New Years & Where Are My Keys Movement Edition -both in Detroit as well as places like De School in Amsterdam, Panorama Bar in Berlin, Hot Mass in Pittsburgh, Smart Bar in Chicago, Kremwerk in Seattle, Residual anniversary events in Tokyo and Osaka & recent appearances in Montreal, San Francisco, Los Angeles and Miami. There is no doubt that Titonton Duvante has carved out his own unique voice - and will continue to do so - in the house music scene, and it is one for those who like more refined electronic sounds that they never get tired of hearing.
Their RA profile lists Sonar Kollektiv, Frankie Rec, Palette Recordings, Fine Art Recordings and 6 more.

  • Mike Servito

New York City · 154 bookings since Aug 2023

“Some DJs burst upon the scene like a supernova, fading just as quickly.”

    their own biography

    the whole biography
Some DJs burst upon the scene like a supernova, fading just as quickly. Others take years, even decades, to make their way—but those are the ones who make the most impact, thanks to a lifetime of accumulated musical wisdom. Mike Servito is a prime example of the latter. His career is one that’s defined by a slow and steady rise to upper ranks of the deejaying realm—and along the way, he’s perfected a jacking style that equal parts house, acid and techno, a sound that pays homage to the past while being very much of-the-moment. A Detroit-area native, Servito got his early education by tuning into the Electrifying Mojo and the Wizard (Jeff Mill’s radio moniker). By the early ’90s, Servito was primed to try his hand at the deejaying arts, “I was just kind of cocky about it,” he says. “I knew I could do it.” And he was right—in the DJ hotbed of Detroit, internalizing knowledge gleamed from the likes of Mike Huckaby and Claude Young, he kept working at it until he established himself as a force to be reckoned with in the Motor City circuit, eventually becoming a member in good standing with the inner circle of Ghostly International. But Servito felt the need for a change from the sometimes insular environment of Detroit. By the late ’00s, he was living in NYC with no real game plan in place. As it turned out, he didn’t really need one—he soon fell in with the city’s premier techno party, The Bunker, becoming one of its mainstay residents. Around the same time, he was beginning to make his presence known on a global scale, packing dance floors with gigs around the States and around the world. But it was a hometown festival snub in 2014 that really got things going. Servito had played Movement once before, in 2011. “And between then and 2014,” he recalls, “I had been playing so many Bunker parties, playing so many great gigs and my profile was rising—so I was sure they would book me again.” The invite never came. Instead, he booked himself at every Movement after-party he could, one of which was the annual No Way Back, a legendary throw down hosted by The Bunker New York and Detroit’s Interdimensional Transmissions label. The set, a riotously sweaty bleeps-and-beats affair, was recorded for posterity; unexpectedly but deservedly, it garnered a nod as the year’s No 1 online Mix of the Year on Resident Advisor. That was the spark that set Servito’s career aflame, the push that took him to the top. Since then, he’s cemented his status as one of the most respected spinners around, regularly manning the decks at such hallowed halls as Berlin’s Panorama Bar, London’s XOYO and Tokyo’s Contact, not to mention the world’s best festivals—including, of course Movement. And to this day, his approach to deejaying is refreshingly simple: “I really don’t think about it,” he says, “When I’m playing, I just dive in, and I’m OK.” He’s far more than okay—he’s one of the best around.

    their own biography

    the whole biography
kels is a triple threat: dancer, digger, and DJ. She had her musical upbringing in Detroit, where she danced for 13 years surrounded by the people who gave birth to the music and values that exposed her to different realms. Being present and sensitive trained her ear and took her musicality to the next level. In 2018 she started her party and mix series maneater - where she cultivated unique line ups that connected many talented DJ’s to share music in spaces that allowed them to shine. Maneater moved with her to Brooklyn in 2019 where it has continued to draw crowds to clubs and underground spaces alike. Meanwhile, kels continues to DJ independently at venues across the States including Public Records, Spot Lite, Dante’s HIfi, Hot Mass, and Nowadays. She recently launched a new residency at Nightmoves, a club designed by LCD Soundsystem’s James Murphy, where you can find her playing an extended five hour set each month. As a former elementary school teacher of eight years, kels brings her empathetic nature and magnetic spirit to the turntables every time she steps into the booth. kels is an agent of change always pushing community to the forefront aka connecting the cuties. Her musical thought process, practicality, and genre fluid vinyl collection will take your heart on the voyage you deserve -  if you’re open to it.
