the whole biography
Immersed in club culture from a young age, he developed a deep connection to the raw energy of techno, particularly drawing inspiration from scenes emerging in the UK and Spain. In 2012, he relocated to Berlin, and one year later founded his own label, Falling Ethics Records. What began as a platform for his own productions has since evolved into a respected outlet showcasing a diverse range of artists, contributing meaningfully to the global techno landscape. The label is also recognised for its distinctive visual identity and commitment to authenticity, establishing itself as a reference point within the independent scene. As a performer, P.E.A.R.L. brings a considered and intentional approach to the DJ booth. Less focused on spectacle, his sets are deeply personal, shaped by a careful balance of tension and release and an eclectic sense of flow. This unpretentious yet deliberate artistry has earned him quiet respect within the international techno community — not as someone chasing trends, but as an artist with a deep understanding of our culture.Their RA profile lists PoleGroup Recordings, Warm Up, Mord, Falling Ethics and 6 more.Recently at The Sultan Room, 315 Stagg st, Paragon · often with ROBUS, SUMME, Oscar Mulero, none of them here on Friday

Juana has enticed crowds all over the world at venues such as Berghain, LuxFrágil, Fabric, Smartbar, Basement, Nowadays, and countless festivals and underground warehouse gigs. She originally hails from the city of Chicago where she cultivated her love for the underground at clubs like Smartbar and The Generator and parties such as Soul in the Hole and Boom Boom Room. She began DJing in roughly 2001 and moved to DC in 2003 where she began hosting weekly live internet radio shows on HandzOnRadio (Baltimore) and Cyberjamz (Tampa) and playing parties in the DC scene, upping her skills alongside her mentor and legendary DJ Sam “the Man” Burns, and at clubs including Red and the DC Sanctuary. Juana started obsessively collecting disco and early house records in the late 90s and eventually developed an undying penchant for straight-ahead techno and deeper, darker shades of first and second-wave Chicago dance music. In the 2010s, Juana made her mark in DC as one of only a handful of techno DJs and a resident of the legendary rave, Sequence, and started regularly touring North and South America and EU. In the 2020s, Juana picked up major momentum, becoming a resident of the renowned rave Unter and making frequent appearances at Basement, Nowadays, and Paragon. She has been a founding member of the DC QT BIPOC collective NOXEEMA JACKSON since 2021, and in 2026, joined the MERGE collective. As a producer, her most recent EP “We Are Everything We Think We're Not” was released in March 2024, and she has also appeared recently on releases from the No Mercy, World Building, and Perimeter Junk labels. She is currently working on more releases, probably until she croaks.Their RA profile lists Bound, Vanity Press Records, ROAMANCE, Trax Only and 1 more.Recently at Signal, The Parkside Lounge, Nowadays · often with Ne/Re/A, Auspex, Concrete Husband, none of them here on Friday

Copenhagen-based DJ and producer Anastasia Kristensen’s distinct skills and electrifying DJ sets have set her apart from the crowd. Gathering sounds from a vast array of influences, she enthusiastically researches off-grid electronics and blends them together through an adventurous, if not infectious, mixing technique. To become the selector that she is today, Anastasia embraced non-conformity and fortitude throughout her life, continuously aiming for her audience to let go on the dancefloor. Her avant-garde, dance-oriented sets captivate audiences in an instant. Whoever attends one of Kristensen’s kaleidoscopic sets should be ready to get lost and experience the unpredictable. In 2023 Anastasia established her own imprint absorb emit in order to showcase other talented musicians’ works and push a textured, experimental and playful dance music. The label boasts several releases, gathering remixes and compilations form the most forward thinking artists in the scene. Anastasia hosts annual all-nighters at Den Anden Side, the main underground venue in her hometown Copenhagen. Anastasia has also Been playing internationally at highly reputable venues and events, including at the experimental UNSOUND Festival, CTM festival, and Field Day, as well as clubs like FOLD, BLITZ, Bassiani and Elysia in Basel to name a few. The ground-breaking “Cordyceps Disco” EP, out in November 2023, expanded upon the imaginary future first built in Kristensen’s 2019 EP “Ascetic” on WARP’S Arcola which blended electro, IDM and spooky techno, and her 2021 release “Volshebno” on Houndstooth captured mesmerizing dancefloor moments. Her latest release “Moments Of Inertia”, a debut on Tiga’s Turbo Recordings in 2024, follows almost like a continuation of ‘Cordydeps Disco’ from 2023 - playing with human / computer interaction, with a futuristic vibe and enigmatic vocals. “DJing since 2011, New York native John Raffaele has been bringing life to dancefloors in the US and abroad on countless occasions.”

the whole biography
DJing since 2011, New York native John Raffaele has been bringing life to dancefloors in the US and abroad on countless occasions. His tireless work and commitment to nightlife and music culture with his projects Subsurface (party) & Impressions Philly (record store) could be described as an unquenchable thirst for more. After relocating to Philadelphia in 2016, John wasted no time working dancefloors across the city for underground local crews. After 2 years in the Philadelphia circuit, John teamed up with his partner and one of his closest friends, Keen in December 2017 to launch the now accredited warehouse party series- Subsurface, to channel their vision into their own experience to share with others in Philadelphia. Since then they have wasted no time reshaping the mold of underground parties in Philadelphia hosting artists such as Anthony Parasole, Omar S, John Dimas, Steve O’Sullivan, and more recently Hamish & Toby, Brawther, Analog Soul, Christian AB and more with no signs of slowing down. In August of 2020, during the pandemic John had been digging for records at such a frequent rate, and being out of gigs with little income- he spawned Impressions Philadelphia, an online/ pop-up record store, filling a void for dance music record shopping in Philly. Since then, the shop has made a mark on local DJ’s and collectors in the city. As a producer, John has been working behind the scenes tirelessly at developing his sound. After many months/years at work, John will be part of the next forthcoming release on Tbilisi based label- Small Moves alongside collaborators Sweater and Bobby Banks under their alias “Post Play”. Expect that to drop fall 2021.Recently at Outer Heaven, MAD Radio NYC, Mansions · often with Keen, Daniel Dutts, Very J, none of them here on Friday
