As co-head of Razor-N-Tape, his musical sensibility has helped shaped the sound of some of the most respected underground disco and deep house to come out of New York City in the past 10 years. Aaron found dance music in the heyday of the 90's NYC rave & club scene and spent his formative years promoting famed New York Clubs Tunnel, Twilo, Vinyl and Limelight. Throughout the 2000s he made his home in Philadelphia and Chicago, but in 2010 he returned home to NYC where he soon connected with current partner JKriv to form Razor-N-Tape. Over the next 9 years and a catalog over 100 releases deep, RNT has come to define today’s sound of NYC disco and house, boasting an artist roster that includes Danny Krivit, Late Nite Tuff Guy, Dimitri From Paris, Ron Basejam, Lovebirds, Eli Escobar, DJ Vas and many more. In branching out into the Razor-N-Tape Reserve label as well as a 45 series, Dae’s ear-to-the-ground A&R skills have spawned success upon success with each new release, and has helped make Razor-N-Tape one of the most respected brands in underground music today. As a DJ, Aaron has shared the bill with dance music luminaries Dimitri From Paris, The Revenge, Kenny Dope, Josh Wink, Questlove, King Britt, Rich Medina, Mark Farina, Derrick L. Carter, Glenn Underground, Ron Trent, Terry Hunter, Ron Carroll, Todd Terry, and many more. He helped develop Philly’s long-running ‘Sundae’ party, as well as staple events of Winter Music Conference such as “Do You Wanna Boogie?” and “Afternoon Delight.” Along with partner JKriv, Dae currently holds down frequent Razor-N-Tape shows at Brooklyn dance destinations Public Records, Elsewhere, Good Room, and Black Flamingo, as well as regular nights at the illustrious Le Bain on top of the NYC Standard Hotel. Aaron’s career in dance music stretches over 2 decades, and as a DJ he draws influence from the classic likes of Masters At Work, Todd Terry, Larry Heard, Danny Krivit, Francois K and Joey Negro, while also infusing elements of modern electronic soul. Artists such as Crazy P, Spirit Catcher, Hot Toddy and Lovebirds have all defined an aspect of his playing style. The result is an infectious blend of deep house, disco, boogie, funk, and soul.Their RA profile lists Razor-N-Tape.Recently at Good Room, Xanadu, Le Bain · often with Disgonuts, none of them here that night

Brandon Markell Holmes, a "slow-burning vocal-house juggernaut," (Rolling Stone), is a formally-trained theatre actor and self-trained vocalist that works within themes of social observation and the symbiotic relationship between art and history. Described as an "invigorating artist’s artist," (Chicago Tribune) and a vocalist that can go "from a low simmer to a boiling passion," (Billboard) he’s also a musician working his own art into history, having appeared as a vocalist on the GRAMMY-nominated Gorillaz album ‘Humanz’, as well as being featured in Afropunk for his visual EP ‘Inertia’. Born and raised in Chicago, but now living in Brooklyn, Brandon has brought performance art to the club, becoming a go-to vocalist for the house music underground. He's a social butterfly, known for dropping in and doing impromptu performances with friends and collaborators (musclecars, JKriv, Robert PM). In the studio, Brandon has worked with musical luminaries, Mauro Refosco, Joey Waronker , Anthony Nicholson, with mentions on the BBC, NTS, Rinse FM, Lot Radio, and more. In Brandon’s words, “My prayer is to always create, speak and express with an authentic understanding of what I’m saying and why I’m saying it.”Their RA profile lists Razor-N-Tape and Toucan Sounds.Recently at 99 Scott Ave, Black Flamingo, public records · often with Stuart Bogie, none of them here that night

“JKriv is a Brooklyn-based producer, DJ, songwriter, multi-instrumentalist, and label owner.”

JKriv is a Brooklyn-based producer, DJ, songwriter, multi-instrumentalist, and label owner. With a professional musical career stretching nearly 2 decades, J has gained serious attention recently for his original productions and inspired DJ sets, and was called “an innovator of the scene” by Defected Records boss Simon Dunmore. It’s a title he has rightly earned, with releases and remixes on Joey Negro’s Z Records, Soundway Records, his own label Razor-N-Tape, among many others, plus massive new singles and remixes for Glitterbox. J brings a seasoned musicality to everything he touches, whether original productions, remixes or reworks and re-edits. A trained musician, his talent for dazzling live instrumentation is evident in original disco productions like his recent Traxsource #1 Soul/ Funk/Disco track Not That Serious (Big Love), Vertigo (Z Records) and Yo Love (Glitterbox). As a studio musician he has recorded bass, guitar, and/or written string & horn arrangements for Dimitri From Paris, Horse Meat Disco feat. Kathy Sledge, and as the producer of the sprawling Studio 54 Music: Night Magic Vol. 1 project, J reimagined disco classics with brand-new all-live studio recordings, translated through his modern club approach, garnering nearly 1.5 million plays for the lead single Souvenirs. J has a slew of new music forthcoming later this year and into 2022, including a release Dam Swindle’s Heist Recordings, Razor-N-Tape, and Glitterbox. A purveyor of all things outer-national, JKriv has nurtured a long-standing love affair with the music of Brazil which he realized through his 2017 Férias ’77 LP compilation of reworks on Razor-N- Tape, his 2019 Aguaxirê EP on Detroit’s Rocksteady Disco, and multiple releases on Brazilian Mareh Festival’s label Barefoot Beats. He has remixed African artists for renowned labels Soundway and Africa Seven, and 80s French pop for label Pardonnez-Nous, and both classic and current Afro/Latin sounds for Razor-N-Tape. His music has garnered support from all quarters of club and radio DJs, such as Derrick Carter, Disclosure, Andrew Weatherall, Louie Vega, Kenny Dope, Mark Farina, BBC Radio 1’s Pete Tong and BB6’s Craig Charles, among many others. Like his productions, JKriv’s DJ sets showcase his deep and diverse taste, weaving eclectic disco, house, and offbeat selections together seamlessly, always with an ear for groove and harmony, and an eye to the dance floor. As a founding member and resident DJ of Hot Honey Sundays, JKriv helped lead the most buzz-worthy new party of Brooklyn’s incredible comeback summer of 2021, growing a 2000+ devoted weekly following of dancers and a formidable social media presence. J has performed live and DJ’d in over 30 countries and in nearly every state in the continental US, sharing bills with Todd Terje, Tony Humphries, Dimitri From Paris, Joey Negro, and made his smashing debut at the Defected Croatia festival this past summer. A foundational member of the live disco band Escort, J has co-written/produced songs, and toured as bassist/guitarist with the group at Coachella, Sasquatch Festival, Electric Forest and innumerable club gigs around the world, as well as a original founding member and former bass player for the groundbreaking live-house group Tortured Soul. JKriv’s talents as a tastemaker extend beyond the studio and DJ booth, as co-owner of respected Brooklyn record label Razor-N-Tape. RNT now boasts a nearly 100-release-deep catalog that has garnered support and spins from some of the biggest names in modern club and radio, and is one of the most respected and consistent current independent dance music labels.Disco on 67, House on 52, Nu-Disco on 27 and Deep House on 23. styles on their catalogued releasesReleased on Bedits (1), Favorite Recordings (1) and Lumberjacks In Hell (1); their RA profile also lists Z Records, Disco Deviance, Discovery Recordings, Razor-N-Tape and 6 more. labels on their catalogued releases and on their RA profileRecently at Roberta's, Good Room, Dead Letter No. 9 · often with Disgonuts, Sasha Crush, none of them here that night
