“Timo Lee emerged her background in Honolulu and Taipei.”
their own biography
the whole biography
Timo Lee emerged her background in Honolulu and Taipei. From early childhood, Timo has kept her ear to the speaker, fingers tapping to the rhythm. A child of the 90’s, she was weaned on rave culture’s pulsing electronic beats. As the 2000’s progressed, her tastes evolved as she embraced underground disco, house, electronica. Her love for music manifested in a remarkable way as she hosted a three-hour weekly radio show on KTUH Honolulu for eight years. During this time, Timo shared the stage with a constellation of talented DJs, including luminaries like DJ Harvey, Bonobo, James Murphy, Thomas Bullock, DJ Garth, Tiger and Woods, Daniele Baldelli, Tim Sweeney, and many others at thirtyninehotel. She also served as the club's booker for six years, actively shaping the local dance scene in Hawaii. In 2014, Timo took her talents to the bustling streets of Brooklyn, NY. Commuting between the energetic vibes of NYC and her beloved Honolulu, she curated the atmosphere at Bevy, a popular cocktail discotheque in Kaka'ako with a 100-person capacity. Timo's presence in the New York music scene has been significant, with regular performances at iconic venues such as Good Room, The Lot Radio, and various nightclubs across the city. Timo wears multiple hats as the curator of "Wax the Van," a weekly all-vinyl session at Good Bar. Since 2020, she has also led Chomp! Chomp! Records, showcasing diverse artists in the underground dance music scene. 2023 marks two decades of Timo's music journey. Her sets are a testament to her eclectic and diverse taste, seamlessly blending different genres to keep audiences tapping fingers and bobbing heads. Timo Lee believes that music should evoke emotions from within, and she approaches it with an ethos that knows no limits.Acid House on 1, Acid Jazz on 1, Tech House on 1 and Techno on 1. styles on their catalogued releasesTheir RA profile lists Chomp! “Some DJs burst upon the scene like a supernova, fading just as quickly.”
their own biography
the whole biography
Some DJs burst upon the scene like a supernova, fading just as quickly. Others take years, even decades, to make their way—but those are the ones who make the most impact, thanks to a lifetime of accumulated musical wisdom. Mike Servito is a prime example of the latter. His career is one that’s defined by a slow and steady rise to upper ranks of the deejaying realm—and along the way, he’s perfected a jacking style that equal parts house, acid and techno, a sound that pays homage to the past while being very much of-the-moment. A Detroit-area native, Servito got his early education by tuning into the Electrifying Mojo and the Wizard (Jeff Mill’s radio moniker). By the early ’90s, Servito was primed to try his hand at the deejaying arts, “I was just kind of cocky about it,” he says. “I knew I could do it.” And he was right—in the DJ hotbed of Detroit, internalizing knowledge gleamed from the likes of Mike Huckaby and Claude Young, he kept working at it until he established himself as a force to be reckoned with in the Motor City circuit, eventually becoming a member in good standing with the inner circle of Ghostly International. But Servito felt the need for a change from the sometimes insular environment of Detroit. By the late ’00s, he was living in NYC with no real game plan in place. As it turned out, he didn’t really need one—he soon fell in with the city’s premier techno party, The Bunker, becoming one of its mainstay residents. Around the same time, he was beginning to make his presence known on a global scale, packing dance floors with gigs around the States and around the world. But it was a hometown festival snub in 2014 that really got things going. Servito had played Movement once before, in 2011. “And between then and 2014,” he recalls, “I had been playing so many Bunker parties, playing so many great gigs and my profile was rising—so I was sure they would book me again.” The invite never came. Instead, he booked himself at every Movement after-party he could, one of which was the annual No Way Back, a legendary throw down hosted by The Bunker New York and Detroit’s Interdimensional Transmissions label. The set, a riotously sweaty bleeps-and-beats affair, was recorded for posterity; unexpectedly but deservedly, it garnered a nod as the year’s No 1 online Mix of the Year on Resident Advisor. That was the spark that set Servito’s career aflame, the push that took him to the top. Since then, he’s cemented his status as one of the most respected spinners around, regularly manning the decks at such hallowed halls as Berlin’s Panorama Bar, London’s XOYO and Tokyo’s Contact, not to mention the world’s best festivals—including, of course Movement. And to this day, his approach to deejaying is refreshingly simple: “I really don’t think about it,” he says, “When I’m playing, I just dive in, and I’m OK.” He’s far more than okay—he’s one of the best around.Techno on 7, Acid on 5, House on 5 and Acid House on 3. styles on their catalogued releasesReleased on The Bunker New York (2) and Interdimensional Transmissions (1); their RA profile also lists Firehouse and Honey Soundsystem. labels on their catalogued releases and on their RA profileRecently at Good Room, Paragon, public records · often with Shaun J. Gee Dee is a Brooklyn-based DJ and producer rooted firmly in North America’s club scene. With longstanding residencies at New York institutions Good Room and Public Records, and as a 10-year veteran of Philadelphia’s iconic party Making Time, Gee Dee has been commanding dance floors for over a decade. Since his debut 12” EP in 2020, Gee Dee has delivered standout records on Superior Elevation, Planet Trip, and most recently, Klasse Wrecks. He has contributed tracks to compilations on Dream Chimney and Terra Magica, and turned in a remix for Rhode & Brown on Permanent Vacation — a track that was recently supported by Matisa on Pete Tong’s BBC Radio 1. In 2025, Gee Dee launched his own imprint, Free Universe, with debut collaborations alongside household names Kim Ann Foxman and Roman Flügel. An optimistic sense of freedom and a contagious lack of inhibition shine brightly throughout his work. A true purveyor of the “anything goes” ethos, Gee Dee seamlessly traverses decades, genres, tempos, and moods in both his DJ sets and productions — taking listeners on a sonic journey that’s equal parts euphoric, hypnotic, and psychedelic. His sound reflects the past while pushing fearlessly toward the future... always guaranteed to make you sweat. Gee Dee has performed at leading festivals such as Dekmantel, Making Time, and Love International, and graced club institutions like Basement, Flash, 1015 Folsom, Floyd, Nitsa, Zukunft, Platforma Wolff, and The Observatory. Whether in the U.S. or abroad, his sets leave a lasting impression. Outside of his solo work, he is one half of Infinity Machine — a live ambient act with Juan Maclean. Together, they’ve released three album-length cassettes on DFA Records, with a full-length double LP slated for 2026. A consistent contributor to the online mix sphere, Gee Dee’s encyclopedic musical knowledge comes to life in guest radio spots for Peggy Gou’s Gudu Mix Series, HÖR Radio, Heels & Souls on Worldwide FM, Bar Part Time, Friendly Potential, Tuff Shed on NTS Radio, and many more.House on 5, Ambient on 4, Downtempo on 4 and Acid on 3. styles on their catalogued releasesReleased on FREE UNIVERSE (3), DFA (1) and Soft Rock For Hard Times (1); their RA profile also lists Permanent Vacation, Superior Elevation, Klasse Wrecks, Dream Chimney and 2 more. labels on their catalogued releases and on their RA profileRecently at Good Room, Chatroom at Elsewhere, public records · often with Juan Maclean, JDH, Budino, none of them here that night
