Hard Yoga marks its first anniversary with a Halloween return to Baby Cobra Bushwick.
Built around the meeting point of power yoga, bass music and club culture, Hard Yoga takes a 90-minute Power Vinyasa practice and runs it through a live-mixed soundtrack of bass, trap and heavier electronic cuts.
The session starts low and gradually builds: mobility into standing work, balance, core and increasingly rhythmic flow as the room and music intensify. At the peak, the energy shifts in the opposite direction with longer holds, deeper stretches and a slower nervous-system downshift.
The practice closes with LSDREAM’s Lightcode meditation before the room opens up for a casual Halloween hang, food and anniversary treats.
Hard Yoga began one year ago with a simple premise: yoga could hit harder. Since then, the project has brought together movement, heavy sound and a growing NYC community through sold-out events across Brooklyn.
No advanced practice required. Modify, push, pull back or take rest as needed.
Costumes welcome, provided you can move in them.
