Lower East Record Club, the East Village vinyl collective that began as a YouTube channel nearly two years ago, has since grown into a thriving event series—and now presents its first Halloween dance party at Night Club 101 (downstairs).
Record Club regulars Kimby, Silk, and Ranking Evan will be digging deep into their record bags, spinning New Wave, Dark Disco, and Synth-Pop that defined the early 1980s NYC underground.

Kimby is a longtime New York City resident and former partygoer, now emerging from her cocoon to dive back into nightlife as a late-blooming vinyl DJ. Her sound is eclectic and ever-evolving as she comes into her own—weaving together Balearic, synth-pop, disco, Hi-NRG, house, freestyle, and vintage Mandopop. Born in LA, raised in Kaohsiung, Taiwan, and shaped by the in-between, she celebrates the collision of cultures through music, blending sounds from her roots with the world beyond. Since late 2024, Kimby has been building her reputation and honing her craft. She is now a regular at vinyl-focused venues in New York and has also made appearances at like-minded spaces in London, Barcelona, Hong Kong, and cities across Taiwan—with two recent NTS Radio features further cementing her presence. Evan Saez is a vinyl DJ native to NYC Lower East side. Who wanted to share the music that makes up his neighborhood immigrant and native alike. He previously was NYC cyber security and forensic examiner for 10 years before collaborating with NYC film maker Trevor Scholl to form Lower East Record Club a weekly vinyl DJ focused Youtube show. Our mission is to provide the natural sound of wax and deliver a rush of emotion that comes from hearing a new song for the first time—while also shining a light on some of the amazing DJs and artists who are part of our community.“Where ever they go, the party follows.”
