Kettle has been active in NYC's electronic scene since 2019, developing his approach through regular appearances at venues across the city. In 2023, he spent extensive time in Tbilisi's underground scene, an experience that broadened his musical perspective and technical approach. After returning to NYC, he founded Stop1, a bi-monthly party series that has established itself as a platform for both emerging and established artists. His sets typically span ambient, UK bass, deep house, and techno, with a focus on extended programming that develops over several hours. Stop1 events regularly draw diverse crowds to intimate venues throughout the city. As a curator, event organizer, or back line provider, Stef Ozaru is a brand recognized as integral. As an artist, his sets are the embodiment of New York. Whether through digital or vinyl, Stef blends old and new tracks to create a unique soundscape across any genre he focuses on. As a DJ focused on genre-bending, he takes elements such as dissonance, left field, groove, and breaks to create a unique style that is unmistakably techno.
