Tarka Project turns 3!
On November 8, we're taking over The Atrium and The Upstairs at Public Records for a night of live sets and nonstop dance music.
THE ATRIUM
Step into the Atrium, where the prolific Bergsonist sets the tone for the day party, followed by best friends Arini b2b JAAG taking over the decks, with JAAG flying all the way from San Francisco. Also coming in from the West Coast is icon Bianca Maieli, stepping in for a banging set, right before Queen ZAINAB returns to the Tarka decks to shake the floor. Co-founders Zara Dekho and Dynoman will seal the night with an unforgettable b2b.
THE UPSTAIRS
Things get magical Upstairs with Rohana serenading us with a unique Cello performance, and Chaia with a mesmerizing experimental live set, both of which will demand your full attention and silence. Afterward, DAKU, joining us from Chicago, will take over with an all-vinyl set as the room transforms into a listening lounge.

Bergsonist is also the recipient of the Roulette 2025 NYSCA Commission and the NYFA x Mayor’s Office of Media and Entertainment Women’s Fund Grant (2024). Her latest albums, Maghreb and Ode To Life, were featured on NPR’s Best Albums of 2024 and 2025. Bianca Maieli is a DJ/Producer born and raised in Los Angeles. She is heavily influenced by the diverse music of the city as well as her mixed South Indian and Caribbean Colombian roots. Bianca can easily read a crowd and adapt her set to fit the vibe while still maintaining her signature sound. She is the host and creator of the radio show Mimosas & Samosas and resident DJ for FIEBRE. Living in Brooklyn by way of Karachi, Pakistan, Dynoman is widely credited as an instrumental figure in the formation and development of the Karachi underground and Pakistan’s electronic music scene. He has been producing electronic music under the Dynoman moniker since 2009, and co-founded Forever South, Pakistan’s first internationally recognized digital label, in 2012. Over the years, his sound has evolved alongside his lived experience, remaining rhythm-forward, percussion-driven, and rooted in movement. After relocating to New York in 2017, Dynoman founded Rare Frequency Transmissions, which he continues to co-run. He is a frequent presence in the Brooklyn underground and self-releases much of his work through Dynoman Music, showcasing a wide breadth of styles and approaches. When stepping into the booth, his sets are shaped by the moment rather than pre-planning, often unfolding without a fixed trajectory as he responds to the energy of the space and the room. In 2023, Dynoman co-founded Tarka, a project celebrating diaspora through artistic practice.
