Two of NYC’s dance-forward queer parties, TOSSD and XOXA, come together for the first time to curate a special night at Good Room. Bringing together residents and special guests, they’ll keep the dance floors full of euphoria, twists, and turns well into the early morning.

For XOXA’s Good Room curation, they’re bringing in Kim Anh, an underground queer staple of the NYC scene, to take the reins at peak time. A DJ, producer, and founder of queer parties, Kim has been a defining force in queer dance music for over a decade, championing the queer and POC roots of dance music throughout her work. Fusing house, acid, and disco with catchy hooks and sensual lyrics, her sound and background reflect XOXA’s commitment to championing women, queer & POC artists in nightlife.

Opening for Kim Anh is XOXA & Lot Radio resident DJ Shannon, whose eclectic sets span classic house, footwork, UKG, techno, and global bass. Her musical selections, shining personality, and fast mixing have made her a standout in the current generation of NYC’s underground scene.

In the final hours of the morning we move into a pumping closer with Brooklyn-based YASMEENAH - a strong figure in the Midwest’s DIY nightlife scene and founder of Minneapolis party UNBOTHERED. Moving between deep soulful grooves, African polyrhythms, house, jazz, broken beat, and global rhythms, her sets draw from a deep connection to Black dance music culture. A core member of Detroit’s Blueprint crew and label, Yasmeenah continues to push that sound forward from Brooklyn, most recently with a vinyl release on Kai Alcé’s NDATL label.

In the Bad Room, TOSSD takes over. Known for forward-thinking curations that harness contemporary sounds and put them in conversation with their roots, TOSSD highlights up and coming talent across the local scene. The takeover will feature their 4 residents, DJ DEADNAME, Sevyn Love, Giovannii and Will Jack. Expect a fusion of bass, club, electro, hard hitting house grooves, and fun party music.

“Shannon Dawson is a dance floor professional.”

    their own biography

    the whole biography
Shannon Dawson is a dance floor professional. From the club to the recording booth and beyond, the kinetic DJ exhibits a deep understanding of what moves people at any place or time. Born, raised, and currently based in New York, Shannon has brought her unlimited exuberance and expert DJ skills to Chongqing, China, where she lived for five years and lit up the decks at local clubs and parties across the country. There she co-founded and owned CREAM, Chongqing’s first hip-hop–focused club, and rounded out her nightlife experience operating and booking for the subcultural spot. Shannon’s sound: Big and bold. She commands the decks with impressive technical skill—she’s noted for her layering and phrasing, dizzying handwork, and big-time blends. Consistently unearthing fresh, fun, fiery tracks and off-kilter beats, she delivers hard-hitting club, breakbeat, classic and ghetto house, techno, global bass, and hip-hop. She’s slayed the CDJs in revered New York venues including Nowadays, Elsewhere, House of Yes, and Good Room. Outside of the club, Shannon graces the airwaves of the Lot Radio and Radio Bonita with her energetic mixes and sunny personality. She is also the host of the podcast Club Management, which explores music’s ability to bridge communities around the world through thoughtful interviews with such guests as TRAXMAN, UNIIQU3, Bohan Phoenix, Ikonika, and Dance Mania founder Ray Barney.

    their own biography

    the whole biography
Will Jack is a PNW-born, Brooklyn-based DJ, producer, and promoter whose work has made a lasting impact on queer and underground dance floors on both coasts. First emerging from Portland, OR as the figurehead behind the influential Switch Dance Party. Will Jack played a role in elevating a wave of Portland's transgressive queer performance spaces through an emphasis on intentional curation, community, and ritual. Switch has hosted a wide range of forward-thinking artists cementing its reputation as a vital cultural moment and in recent years has seen the likes of artists such as Kevin Aviance, Vander Von Odd, Volvox, Aurora Halal, Sharlese, SPRKLBB, Ariel Zetina and more. After relocating to New York City with a singular focus on nightlife, Will Jack became deeply embedded in Brooklyn’s DIY ecosystem. Working behind the scenes with the UNTER collective as a producer honed his attention to detail and respect for dance floor dynamics, while countless warehouse and club nights refined his sensibility as a selector. He now co-runs the popular DIY afters series TOSSD alongside Giovannii, another influential figure out of Portland, where he serves as both resident and a creative production force. With residency at both TOSSD and Brooklyn’s ANIMAL, Will Jack stretches across a wide range of selections and approaches DJing as a contextual and narrative-driven practice. His sound centers groove, mystery, and sex appeal—drawing from New York and Chicago House, Detroit Techno, Acid, Electro, and Psychedelic textures—always with a percussive-forward pulse designed to move mind, body, and spirit. Known for extended sets that unfold patiently, his performances balance hedonism with intention, treating raving as ritual. Will Jack has played at spaces such as NYC's Basement/Studio, Seattle's Massive, San Francisco's Power House, and iconic underground parties including Unter, F*ggots Are Women, Mizz Softee, TOSSD and more. A lifelong student of dance music culture and a dedicated contributor to the communities he inhabits, Will Jack continues to be a tastemaker in contemporary queer underground dance music.
