“German producer, DJ, label and record store owner Cinthie has become one of the most sought-after artists in the contemporary electronic scene.”

    their own biography

    the whole biography
German producer, DJ, label and record store owner Cinthie has become one of the most sought-after artists in the contemporary electronic scene. Dubbed by many as the Berlin Queen of House, the last decade has seen her become an unstoppable force who has a touring schedule that takes her across the globe to perform at leading clubs and festivals across Europe, Asia, the Americas and beyond. Cinthie's knowledge of house music's foundations is second to none, as reflected by the vast vinyl collection she has been building since 1995. Her DJ sets cleverly join the dots between the past and the present and plot lines between the swing of New York, the rawness of Chicago and the energy of Berlin. They're stripped back and emotive, whether deep or vocal, and always married to an irresistible groove. In the studio, Cinthie has mastered the art of making maximum impact from bare musical essentials. For more than 20 years her timeless house sounds have come on labels like Heist, Aus Music and her own 803 Crystal Grooves, and in 2020 gave rise to her adventurous and accomplished debut album Skylines - City Lights. Cinthie's DJ-kicks mix in 2022 was another high-water mark. It's a revered series that had a big impact on her in the nineties, and her own entry is one of house music's best. House music isn't known for its live shows, and even less so for female live artists. But as always, Cinthie is breaking new ground and has recently taken her machines on the road to cult events like Sonar and Mutek. Her influential Elevate.Berlin store is also known for its exceptional taste: every record is handpicked by Cinthie. Such realness and authenticity have always been synonymous with proper house music, but they are also the values that stand Cinthie apart.
Their RA profile lists Skint, Aus Music, Running Back, Watergate Records and 6 more.

  • “Humble beginnings go way back.”

    their own biography

    the whole biography
Humble beginnings go way back. Tuba and Trombone, to Bass Guitar in Middle and High-School. At Uni, the switch was to The "Upright Bass" as my primary instrument. A truly natural progression. A more intuitive way to mesh and bond as one with the instrument. The University environment was all about Jazz. So the "stand up bass" became an exciting new challenge. (And is most certainly the reason I built and play my two fretless P-Basses). After soaking up as much Live Performance Experience, Music Theory, Class Piano, Sight-Singing, etc. the original goal of becoming a Music Instructor was jettisoned for that of a DJ/Producer. Although at the time, I had no idea of how the music was made, or even being played in the DJ booth. As the internet was not yet a thing. Rising through the ranks organically. From "lollipop raver" dancing until way past noon. To fledgling DJ with trembling hands playing his first open air festival. Onto one of the DJs around town "with a name." All the way to being the third DJ in history to play the Sydney Opera House Auditorium. It's been a long, strange, beautiful, and at times extremely difficult road. That said. I am a former child of the ghetto who grew up in extreme poverty. Prison and or death became the fate of most of the young boys I grew up with. Music literally saved my life. I live every beat, note, word, and title I've ever published. Thank you to the people around the world who've made it all possible. I do it for you.

From the same Himalayan headwaters that feed the sacred Ganges, Shyam ‘Snad’ Anand has drawn tireless and pure inspiration for a music career spanning three continents in addition to the millions of hearts and minds who find warmth as they swaddle themselves in his "forward-thinking" musical tapestry. If Snad’s music is akin to a fine quilt or garment, it was delicately woven with years of real-world experience in Chicago, Berlin, and the Philly suburbs. Moreover, his ever-evolving connections to the Indian Underground make Snad a key player among the most enlightened circles who still travel the Silk Roads and who take their underground seriously -- wherever they call home. Keep your ears to the streets

    their own biography

    the whole biography
JENIFA MAYANJA Ugandan born Jenifa Mayanja has been deeply entrenched in the underground deep house music scene for more than 25 years since the early 90's staking her claim in New York. Steadily rising through the ranks Ms. Mayanja's profile has maintained an underground buzz that has her earned her a revered place as the “first lady of deep house” and a reputation for being an innovative, fearless and respected musical ambassador for women in house music. The underground culture that Jenifa Mayanja planted roots in began in New York for her as a serious music selector and music buyer at the now defunct legendary record store “Dancetracks”. This also led to an opportunity to learn firsthand about running a record label working for “Spiritual Life” owned by Joe Claussell. They say New York djs know how to be able to work any kind of situation because crowds are tough to please, well Jenifa got an education that built her into the kind of fearless dj she is today. Holding down weekly residencies at major clubs and as a main stay of the East Village thriving lounge scene of the 90s honed her technical skills and ability as a dj to move seamlessly through genres. Jenifa’s creation of the Bumako Recordings label in 2007 introduced the world to the naturalistic deep house sound she is known for as an artist and has led her musical vision for the Bumako label. From inception to now, Bumako has developed a devoted fan base that religiously follows the diverse releases on the label to date almost 25 of them including full length albums, cds and digital releases. The “Woman Walking in the Shadows” album in 2011, really set her apart from the fray and brought a new kind of attention to her signature world infused house music. She has also been at the helm of a variety of signature remixes for artists and labels of the likes of Nina Kraviz, Ethereal Sounds Anton Zap's label, Soul People Music Fred P's label, Altered Mood Recordings, Street Knowledge while also providing original productions for labels like Big Bait, Abstract Theory and recently Orbits Records run by the Bass Cadet Crew. While other djs value quantity, Jenifa Mayanja’s DJ ethos has been about bringing music culture, quality and love to the game. She has played multiple times at Panorama Bar, Fabric London, Output New York, along with appearances at Concrete Paris, Djoon and beloved events like “Freerotation”, “Horse meat disco”, and Heidegluhen”.Her dj appearances have also included stops at underground events in Tel Aviv, London, Copenhagen, Hamburg, Cologne, Brooklyn, Helsinki and Moscow. Jenifa Mayanja is also involved with two other labels EDJ and Sound Warrior. The EDJ label she co-owns with her famous other half DJ Jus-Ed. They have to date 5 releases with “Love it or Leave it” EP being premiered on the “ED & Jen” tour at the Freerotation Festival. The Sound Warrior label she co-created with Dakini 9 to showcase music production exclusively produced by women now boasts 4 major release including a double vinyl compilation featuring 9 other incredible women to be released April 2017. With her 3rd album “Stranger things have happened”coming in the summer of 2017 and upcoming long players on Sistrum, & Deep Art, Jenifa Mayanja continues to be a force to be reckoned with in her own right as an artist, dj and label owner with a distinct musical signature

    their own biography

    the whole biography
Coming from Italy, Simone Adinolfi, aka Edan, has been playing records since 2006, when he was just 16. His passion and love for music is shown through his appeal for any project he gets involved in. He started by creating a party called “Why not?” in his hometown Milan. When he moved to being resident for Rosemary Sauce, Frames and Sorgente Sonora he got the chance to play alongside Rhadoo, Praslesh, Petre Inspirescu, Fumiya Tanaka and many more. After several years of research he improved his knowledge by attending an audio course at SAE and another one in Sound Design at Naba, where he’s currently vinyl mixing professor. Co-founder of Sound Bakery in 2016 along with his mate Cem Ozden, a monthly party happening in Dude Club. In the same year he starts, with Locïc, a collaboration that gave birth to some productions, of which one has been published on Kina music, two on Arcenciel Recordings and two more will be out soon in a vinyl Ep on Coquette Records. His sound is minimal with complex grooves, while his fine mixing technique gives his sets a sense of continuity.
Their RA profile lists Kina Music, Coquette Records and Arupa Music.
