  DJ PAUL C (Jungle Dub House Recs / Ireland / NYC) DJ Paul C is a pioneering DJ, producer, promoter, and label owner with over three decades shaping the Jungle and Drum & Bass scene. Raised between Dublin and New York, his sound was forged through Funk, Reggae, Rave, and the early schools of Grooverider, Dollard, and Vega. His early residencies included Dutty Den’s in Malaga (1989) and The Gardening Club, Dublin (1994), before co-founding Jungle Nation in 1995—the city’s first weekly Saturday drum & bass party in NYC—alongside DJ Dara and Lunar Crew’s Riain. By 1996, he became a resident at Konkrete Jungle NYC and helped launch Breakbeat Science, the US’s first drum & bass record store. Performances span from NYC to the world: WODNB @ Hammerstein Ballroom (w/ Grooverider, Fabio, Shy FX), CMJ @ Speeed NYC (w/ Moby), Catalpa Festival Randall’s Island (w/ Snoop Dogg, The Black Keys), PS1 MoMA NYC, Space Miami WMC, SXSW Austin, as well as international appearances from London to Toronto to San Juan. Paul C has shared stages with Jungle icons such as Goldie and drum & bass heavyweights including Sub Focus and Bryan Gee, bringing decades of experience to every set while steering the energy of Jungle Dub House in New York. As a producer, he has released tracks such as Bad Boy Selecta, NY Jungle, King's Dream, and has produced/remixed artists including David Boomah, TC Izlam, and T.R.A.C. as well as Signing Systemattix & debuting Nayobe His label and events, Jungle Dub House (est. 2013, formerly Funked Dub), continue to push new releases and curate cutting-edge parties.   Spawned and groomed into society in Newmarket, Ontario, Canada, Jed Harper aka JEDI initially commenced his career in music as a Hip Hop DJ. Obsessed with experimentation, it wasn’t long before JEDI began fusing all genres of music from across the spectrum into his sets. As with many aspiring artists, JEDI decided he wanted to develop his DJ career, by taking the next natural step, and move to the epicenter of Canada’s nightlife community; Toronto. JEDI initially caught the attention of the resident DJ’s at Toronto’s CKLN radio station, who decided to help him land his first major residency at Vince Carter’s INSIDE nightclub & entertainment venue. After signing as a resident at INSIDE, the offers began to fly in for JEDI. Fast forward 8 years, and JEDI has held the title of main resident at a majority of Toronto’s leading nightclubs, including most recently, Peter Gatien’s CiRCA nightclub. Along the way, JEDI has had a plethora of achievements, including DJ’ing for Kanye West, and performing alongside the biggest names in both the electronic and urban genres. JEDI’s success has found him being requested to perform at celebrity parties for icons such as Sean Comb’s (P-Diddy), Nelly Furtado, and Justin Timberlake. Festivals have been a constant for JEDI as well, being beckoned for from across the country to DJ at high profile public events. In 2006, JEDI also found himself being bombarded with requests for venues from local promoters and artists a like, and there seemed to be a common theme; there was a need for an intimate venue that could house events that wouldn’t usually get the time of day from mainstream nightclubs. Enter TOI BAR. JEDI decided instantly that it was time for him to step up and provide a venue that could cater to niche underground music. Since 2006, TOI BAR has seen international talent ranging from Jeff Milligan and Mike Huckaby, to Benny Page, Marcus Visionary, and Gremlinz. As with most successful DJ’s, JEDI has been hard at work in the studio, working on material for his own BAD CONCEPT imprint, and for major labels and film/production studios alike. Having launched BAD CONCEPT Records in 2008, JEDI has begun releasing the first of his productions. 2009 will see an onslaught of releases from JEDI, including an original Electro House production featuring Choclair.
