Matthew Dear’s 2003 full-length Ghostly debut, Leave Luck to Heaven, is a suite of sparse house laced with Dear’s deep, distinctive vocals, and includes the much-loved single “Dog Days” (voted one of Pitchfork’s Top 100 Songs of the Decade). The album was met with rapturous acclaim from both the dance-music establishment and the critical press, including a four-star review in Rolling Stone. Dear’s 2007 follow-up, Asa Breed, was a considerable departure from Heaven’s dance-floor excursions, incorporating the polyrhythms of Afrobeat, the irreverent pop sensibilities of Brian Eno, and the austere beauty of Krautrock. More rave reviews followed (Q and Mojo magazines), and Dear subsequently began touring with a live three-piece band, commanding the stage with a Bryan Ferry-like swagger and a gentleman’s grace. His fourth album, 2010’s Black City, was the culmination of years of hard work and experimentation, a darkly playful sound-world that envelops the listener like the arms of a malevolent lover. His last album, Beams, was a critical and commercial success. It is both a drastic departure from and worthy successor to Black City’s gothic masterwork. A suite of weird, wild, and queasily optimistic rhythm-driven pop songs. Dear ended the tour supporting Depeche Mode on their European stadium dates. Matthew's latest release is DJ Kicks on !K7. Matthew is a co-founder of both Ghostly International and its dancefloor offshoot, Spectral Sound. Matthew is a producer and remixer of the likes of The xx, Charlotte Gainsbourg, DJ Koze, Spoon, Hot Chip, Dubfire, Joris Voorn, Tegan & Sara, Daniel Avery, The Postal Service and Chemical Brothers; he’s made mixes for the Fabric mix series, DJ Kicks and Get Physical’s Body Language.
Their RA profile lists fabric Records, Get Physical Music, !K7, Spectral Sound and 4 more.

Juan MacLean is a Brooklyn based DJ and producer who has been a mainstay and defining fixture of the New York cub scene, as well as maintaining a rigorous international touring schedule, since the release of his first records on his DFA record label in 2002. While maintaining residencies in various New York clubs over the years, Juan has graced the decks at legendary venues like Berlin’s Panorama Bar, Tokyo’s Womb, Lisbon’s Luxe, Fabric of London, and countless others in between. He quickly established a reputation as an eclectic and adaptive DJ, utilizing years of music making and performance experience to develop a finely tuned sensitivity to quality selection and reading a room. Never much of a genre purist, Juan’s sets can feature the gamut from Disco to House to Techno, with detours into Electro or proto-House along the way, often in the same night. He has also produced an extensive catalog of 12”s and LP’s, mostly for the record label established by his old friend James Murphy, DFA Records, including the seminal dance floor hit ‘Happy House,’ first released in 2009. In 2010 Juan was recruited to contribute a mix for the legendary DJ Kick’s series, helping to spread House music to a wider audience on the cusp of the resurgence of House as a world wide phenomenon. Juan has also released on Classic Music Company and New York City’s Let’s Play House, as well as Get Physical, Defected, and Razor N Tape, Cin Cin, Audiophile Deep, and MeMeMe. For 2020, Juan has already slotted in releases on Correspondant, Motordiscs, and Aus Records. Currently, Juan is finishing production on his 4th LP, slated for release on DFA Records.
Their RA profile lists Classic, Get Physical Music, !K7, DFA Records and 6 more.

“Not to mention being co- founder of the famed Robots parties and amusing us weekly as Robot Radio's alluring and witty host.”

    their own biography

Not to mention being co- founder of the famed Robots parties and amusing us weekly as Robot Radio's alluring and witty host. Within the world of electronic music everyone has a tale about our friend Bill Patrick. Some funny, some sad, some tragic, most shady, but at the end of each story or any encounter with this demi god you're left wanting more. In 2008, this mythical creature, who by chance was reborn a man, relocated to Berlin. Why? Few know. Some say it was in search of gold, some suggest it was out of self-loathing, those in his inner circle say it was to be closer to them. He says it was to challenge the European state of mind and how sexually active they, as a people, can become. In any event all legend and lore were left behind. So where has that left this man, this nu-romantic? I'll tell you, striving to be more. It doesn't matter that the only places he now plays are festivals like Sunwaves in Romania, Outline Festival in Moscow or highly respected clubs like Closer Kiev, Robert Johnson and Concrete in Paris. After a much talked about 31 hour set at Sunwaves Festival in 2016, Bill and his partner in crime, tINI, have teamed up as Rolls “N” Do and now find themselves thrust into a whirlwind of high profile gigs. Currently touring the globe and vocally enlightening the Universe, Bill still finds time to keep his Instagram up to date and send out wildly entertaining content across all platforms. Not to mention, producing a monthly radio show, Chaotic Neutral, on OpenLab Radio and curating playlists for boutique hotels such as Hotels Costes in Paris, Baba Beach Club in Thailand and Guldsmeden Hotel in Berlin. But he wants to step out of his box and come to you, to educate the minds of the world with his deep, psychedelic take on contemporary dance music. - Words by Seth Troxler

“Greg Paulus and Nick DeBruyn met as 8 year olds growing up in St.”

    their own biography

    the whole biography
Greg Paulus and Nick DeBruyn met as 8 year olds growing up in St. Paul, Minnesota, bonding over an early mutual love of hip-hop and jazz legends such as A Tribe Called Quest, J Dilla, Miles Davis, John Coltrane and Herbie Hancock. This deep-rooted connection allows them to understand each other in a rare and profound way. Paulus performed trumpet at local jazz clubs in his teenage years and went on to study jazz/classical at the Manhattan School of Music. Together they later traveled to Cuba’s Havana to study Afro-Cuban rhythm, music and culture. But the seeds of their evolution were really sewn in 2006 when both DeBruyn and Paulus moved to Brooklyn and started exploring the burgeoning underground dance scene. After attending numerous Wolf + Lamb parties, the duo became infatuated with their aesthetic and sound. No Regular Play became integral to the Wolf + Lamb family when they took up residence in the Marcy building, a melting pot for creative minds. This move allowed a more fluid approach to their productions and new collaborations were formed. Since 2008 they’ve had a string of releases on the label, including the “Owe Me” and “Too Dramatic” EPs, as well as their debut album, “Endangered Species”, in 2012. Subsequent material from the duo has shown up on a slew of respected labels including No. 19 Music, Supplement Facts and HAKT Recordings. Never to be tied to one breed or style, in 2012 they released the track “Rain (All Day)” on Cut Mistake Music, which was reconstructed and performed as a 25-minute piece by Paulus and his father for improvisation/ electronics with the Minnesota Orchestra. A year later they were able to take that experience to the Zurich Tonhalle Orchestra to perform a special live set with members of the orchestra. In 2014 No Regular Play was honored by Lincoln Center at their Young Patron’s Gala for their unique and innovative contributions to the arts. No Regular Play has been an integral part of Crew Love, and has taken their live set all over the world, including festivals such as Movement and Piknic Electronic, and venues such as Fabric and Output. Their second album, “Can’t You See”, is slated for release on Crew Love Records on August 5th, 2016.
Their RA profile lists Supplement Facts, Wolf + Lamb, No.19 Music, Culprit and 6 more.
