the whole biography
Timo Lee emerged her background in Honolulu and Taipei. From early childhood, Timo has kept her ear to the speaker, fingers tapping to the rhythm. A child of the 90’s, she was weaned on rave culture’s pulsing electronic beats. As the 2000’s progressed, her tastes evolved as she embraced underground disco, house, electronica. Her love for music manifested in a remarkable way as she hosted a three-hour weekly radio show on KTUH Honolulu for eight years. During this time, Timo shared the stage with a constellation of talented DJs, including luminaries like DJ Harvey, Bonobo, James Murphy, Thomas Bullock, DJ Garth, Tiger and Woods, Daniele Baldelli, Tim Sweeney, and many others at thirtyninehotel. She also served as the club's booker for six years, actively shaping the local dance scene in Hawaii. In 2014, Timo took her talents to the bustling streets of Brooklyn, NY. Commuting between the energetic vibes of NYC and her beloved Honolulu, she curated the atmosphere at Bevy, a popular cocktail discotheque in Kaka'ako with a 100-person capacity. Timo's presence in the New York music scene has been significant, with regular performances at iconic venues such as Good Room, The Lot Radio, and various nightclubs across the city. Timo wears multiple hats as the curator of "Wax the Van," a weekly all-vinyl session at Good Bar. Since 2020, she has also led Chomp! Chomp! Records, showcasing diverse artists in the underground dance music scene. 2023 marks two decades of Timo's music journey. Her sets are a testament to her eclectic and diverse taste, seamlessly blending different genres to keep audiences tapping fingers and bobbing heads. Timo Lee believes that music should evoke emotions from within, and she approaches it with an ethos that knows no limits.Acid House on 1, Acid Jazz on 1, Tech House on 1 and Techno on 1. styles on their catalogued releasesTheir RA profile lists Chomp! “Jersey born, bred and based, Mike Simonetti is a man of many caps.”

the whole biography
Jersey born, bred and based, Mike Simonetti is a man of many caps. As an artist he’s in demand both as a solo act and as one half of acclaimed techno duo Pale Blue. In the business, he’s a multiple influential label founder with 25 years of breaking bands and accelerating culture to his name. In life, he is a serial crate digger and music lover. With a steady flow of releases and remixes on his own 2MR, Manpower’s Me Me Me, Public Release, Crosstown Rebels, Correspondant peppering the sets of premiership selectors such as Dixon, Ame, Mike Servino and Maceo Plex, the 2010s have seen Mike steadily rise to prominence as one of this decade’s most consistent, exciting and innovative producers both solo and with Elizabeth Wight as Pale Blue. This is no coincidence: Simonetti’s status is the result of decades of diligent work across multiple musical movements from punk to acid house as both a DJ and label owner. In the early 90s he founded cult imprint Troubleman Unlimited, a label responsible for breaking the likes of Chromatics and Glass Candy and releasing music by Prurient, Vatican Shadow, Zola Jesus, The Walkmen, Speedking (James Murphy’s first band), Unwound, and many many more acts long before their mainstream exposure. This tastemaker trend continues throughout every label Mike has founded since retiring Troubleman and exploring more dancefloor focussed sounds: between 2007-15 he ran Italians Do It Better with Glass Candy’s Johnny Jewell, during which time it became a by-word for innovative electronic fusion. Now 2MR (2 Mikes Records co-founded with Mike Sniper and Adam Gerrard) carries the mantel for joyous unpredictability and forefront electronic fusion, encouraging the boldest and most vibrant experiments from exciting new innovators such as Savile, Bottin, John Barera and many more. Galvanizing Mike’s ahead-of-the-curve signature and reflecting his ever-broadening musical brushstrokes in the studio and reputation as an international DJ, 2MR is yet another chapter for the man of many caps: an artist, a DJ, a label owner, a crate digger, a music lover…Their RA profile lists Crosstown Rebels, Italians Do It Better, Perseo, Correspondant and 5 more.Recently at Gabriela, Good Room, House of Yes · often with Hot Chip, Simonetti, Fabiola, none of them here on Saturday
