Armando X. is a DJ, producer, and digital archivist dedicated to the preservation of global BIPOC and LGBTQ+ club history. Through his podcast series, Raw Club Archives, he bridges the gap between dance music’s foundations and its future. He has captured definitive oral histories from icons including Chez Damier, Ultra Naté, DJ Lori Branch, Tyree Cooper, DJ Lina Bradford, Connie-Girl Fleming, DJ Slugo, Dr. Nicole Rawls, and Zack Fox among many others. Through his DJ sets, Armando X. ensures the architects of the culture remain central to its evolution by emphasizing high-fidelity sound, intentional selections and community-building.
