    the whole biography
Dee Diggs is a DJ, music producer, and creative multi-hyphenate based in Brooklyn, NY. She is unapologetically black, queer, and a lifelong student of the tenets of House Music. Every single set by this connoisseur feels like a celebration – a celebration of club culture, of queerness, of community, of house and techno, and of house and techno's Black and Queer American innovators. Her energetic, yet deep approach to DJing has seen this Boston to Brooklyn transplant first garnering attention in the queer party scene of NYC and now lighting up dancefloors all over the world with regular European and international tours. Her aim has always been to contribute & sustain more spaces where marginalized groups are valued and thanked by name for their contributions to humanity. Thank the ORIGINAL Black innovators of House & Techno! Thank you, Disco and Ballroom Queens & Queers and Club Kids alike for the theatrics & fanfare of nightlife as we know it! There are homages to these origins alluded to in all things 'Dee Diggs', from the aesthetics to the sharing of the referential and varied tracks that fill her most noteworthy mixes, to her own original music! She’s known for releasing standout mixes for the likes of Daisychain, Honcho, and Dekmantel over the past couple of years. Her musical adventures spanning all possible genres, the common denominator here is Dee Diggs’ unrivaled taste. Her sound cuts an arch through dance music’s past and present to convey an interesting melding of Dee’s signature sounds: lyrical storied tracks, sensual club edits, soulful realness, sneaky grooves, passionate thumpers, and nostalgic endings. Her eponymous party, House of Diggs debuted in February 2020 to stir and settle the hearts of all the lovers of house, funk, soul, disco, and R&B in Brooklyn, before the COVID-19 pandemic and subsequent club closings curtailed that momentum for 1.5 years. However, 2021, found her making strides again when she resumed curating House of Diggs as a semi-regular event series at Jupiter Disco, a rotary-focused intimate dance floor in Bushwick before her touring DJ schedule ramped up intensely. She currently holds and curates a seasonal DJ residency at a hi-fi nightclub in Gowanus, BK named Public Records. House of Diggs makes an appearance yearly around PRIDE to take over all 3 rooms of Public Records with Queer Imagination and Sonic Pleasure! Diggs' steady rise continues as she steps in to headline many club and festival lineups in 2023 and beyond. The east coast darling bares her soul on these decks — when you hear her, you feel her, and there is no mistaking the beauty and grit of this sound and this feeling!

Just like the ‘80s soundtrack bangers she’s known to slip into many a peaktime set, Lauren Murada’s origin story is a classic coming-of-age movie straight off the big screen—but make it NYC, and definitely make it disco. In search of the perfect dance floor to call home, she booked a one way ticket from Sydney to the City That Never Sleeps in 2014, and never looked back… One step into the world of her infamous party series Love Games and it’s clear that she’s made her dreams come true: It’s a love letter to disco made manifest, forged in part from her nine-year tenure as Production Manager at Good Room, and carefully honed through countless nights spent on Brooklyn dance floors and behind the decks. Championing beloved pioneers from the Golden Era of disco with reverence, the party equally sets the stage for the joyfully abundant expressions of the next gen. Lauren and fellow party resident Finn Jones host legendary DJs and devotees alike as they spin across the spectrum of timeless classics, leftfield treasures, mind-melters and guilty pleasures. Swept off their feet by undeniable grooveladen sets served by the likes of François K, Mark Grusane, CC:Disco!, Session Victim, Dee Diggs and more, dancers are held in the warmest embrace of balloons and mirrorball kisses—at Love Games, everyone’s a winner. Joy continues to take the lead in Lauren’s production work. Her hot n’ ready edits [out on the cheeky Fundido chaps’ eponymous Brooklyn-based label] range from funky tongue-in-cheek serenades [“Married Men”], sleaze-tastic glam rock gems [“Paradise Garage”], to blazingly glorious femme anthems [“Under Fire”] that will have you reaching for your hairbrush mic! They’re a perfect extension of who she is today as a DJ and selector—an irrepressible force of Fun, dedicated to surprising her dance floors with an open invitation to Love.

Finn has been seen on dancefloors all over New York City since 2017 after moving from London. It wasn't long before he got behind the decks himself and has been a Good Room resident since 2018 with Love Games, a party he throws with Lauren Murada. Finn is also part of the crew which throws Disco Summer Camp at Glen Falls House every Labor Day weekend. Finn has an anything goes attitude when he's in the booth. In one night you might hear a Mariah Carey house mix, an AC/DC classic, and indie dance remix or some diva disco. If it makes you want to get down, Finn will play it.

“Alongside the usual glittering suspects, New York City is also home to plenty of lesser- known treasures.”

    their own biography

    the whole biography
Alongside the usual glittering suspects, New York City is also home to plenty of lesser- known treasures. Frantz is one such hidden gem; both a DJ’s DJ and a dancer’s delight. An encyclopedic knowledge of music informs his instinctive understanding of what to play when in nightclubs, listening bars, and everything in between as he stealthily stakes out a reputation as one of New York’s finest selectors. As well as gracing the booth at some of the city’s best venues including Mansions, Eavesdrop, Gabriela, Nightmoves and Milagrosa, Frantz has also charmed crowds as far afield as Mexico City, Napoli, Berlin and Houston, introducing varied audiences to all the records they didn’t know they needed to hear. Born in Brooklyn to Haitian parents, Frantz immersed himself in the local music scene from an early age. While still in high school, he interned at Astralwerks , where free tickets to see acts such as Basement Jaxx and Fatboy Slim whet his appetite for electronic music. Obsessively listening to BBC Radio 1 (Annie Nightingale’s Annie on One and the Essential Mix) and watching taped episodes of MTV’s electronic music show Amp further stoked this growing passion. The first record he bought was Alan Braxe’s “Vertigo” on Roulé, showing early signs of his sophisticated tastes. Circa 2000, one of Frantz’s Astralwerks bosses taught him how to spin vinyl, and after just a couple of lessons he was off and running. Following a heavy UKG and dubstep phase he eventually came around to disco, eschewing more commercial modern fare in favour of esoteric ‘70s releases. Working at the The Thing vintage and record store in Greenpoint deepened Frantz’s appreciation of New York classics, Chicago house, Detroit techno, Italo, and synth pop, and is also where he met a gang of fellow music nerds with whom he played his earliest gigs at East River Bar in Williamsburg. A few radio mixes came next, including a hot live mix for “A Downtown Affair” on WNYU showcasing Frantz’s sweetest spot —obscure but alluring disco cuts that spark dancefloor abandon. His own production work, including a disco-sleaze edit released on Death on Wax, seeks to do the same. During five years spent in Mexico City, Frantz played all the coveted parties and clubs including Sunday Sunday, Yu Yu, Departamento, Pervert, and Por Detroit. He also nabbed a slot at the inaugural edition of Fascinoma Festival, headlined by Larry Heard, DāM-FunK, Kode9 and Galcher Lustwerk, regularly appeared on Aire Libre FM radio station and was tapped to play private events for clients including Apple Music x Soho House, Vans, and a variety of Mexican-based brands. While briefly living in Europe, he played a beach bar in Napoli (with Paris-based Pitaya Soundsystem) and Berlin house parties when the pandemic permitted it, then headed back to New York with renewed focus on scaling up his DJing around the city (Paragon & FERAL, a leatherqueer fetish night where he indulged his love of industrial, EBM and post-punk) while daytiming as a buyer at Academy Records in the East Village. In 2023, Frantz forged a four-strong collective called Dancers Trust, throwing intimate club nights for discerning ears. In 2024, Frantz enjoyed his biggest year to date, DJing at Nowadays (Outdoors), Elsewhere, Milagrosa, a Tiki Disco afterparty at Gabriela, and getting booked to play at boutique private parties interstate. His popular mid-year mix for There Is No Planet Earth was a spicy, genre-jumping exhibit of Frantz at his eclectic best, and he capped off the year with an appearance on Joshua Cordova's Memory Screen on Tbilisi-based Mutant Radio. Whether he’s playing heavy disco, percussion-laden techno, house, or ravey breaks, Frantz is guided by one key principle — never be lukewarm about anything. If he doesn’t love it, you won’t hear it. If he does, chances are you’ll love it too.
