AXT (read as “acht”, German for 8) is a Ukrainian dj and sound producer now based in Berlin. War pushed her out of Kyiv, through Prague — where she held down residency at Bike Jesus, tore up floors at Ankali and Fuchs2, and linked up for the city’s first Keep Hush. In Berlin, she continues to expand her trajectory both as a solo artist and as a co-founder of Motsion, a Kyiv-bred multidisciplinary audio-visual collective throwing events from Istanbul to Amsterdam, Milan to Budapest.

Her sets are built on massive, voluminous bass pressure and sharp, cutting highs, yet always carry a playful, almost tongue-in-cheek atmosphere. Think proper mental chewing gum: rhythms that keep twisting, flipping, making dancers pull out new shapes with every switch-up.

She’s stepped up at RSO and OHM in Berlin, Jasna1 in Warsaw, Kaserne in Basel, opened Transmediale on the Betonhalle stage at Silent Green, and touched festivals like Hyperreality (Vienna), Lunchmeat x Bukolika (Prague), Sensorium (Bratislava). Lineups crossed with Flowdan, DJ Storm, Neffa-T, DJ Loui from Jupiter4, Fausto Bahía, DJ Fuckoff — AXT always landing raw, unpolished, with her own stamp. On the production side, AXT’s tracks have been released on Yuku (Prague) and Institut (Hamburg), and have been featured by Andriy K. on his stream on Hague-based Future Intel, Joanna OJ for Caninal takeover of Sweden’s Retreat Radio, and Nastya Muravyova for CXEMA podcast on NTS Radio, among others.
