Laura Sí

Born in Berlin, Laura Sí has long been part of the Berlin techno scene, first as an enthusiastic dancer on the floor, then as a decorator and organizer, then as an awareness worker, and finally behind the decks. As part of Femquency and the Mit Dir Festival, she has helped organize a wide variety of events. From downtempo to peak time, Laura Sí likes to play genre-fluid music, as long as it gets people moving, allows them to sing along from time to time, and, in the best case, conveys a political message. As a newcomer, she still has to find her style, but so far she affectionately calls it trashno. For her, the overall concept is the focus of events—decoration, music, and dancers all contribute equally to creating an atmosphere where everyone feels safe and welcome.
