exuvia
exuvia is the current project of Madrid-based DJ and producer formerly known as Reptile. After years of development, this evolution consolidates a more defined and deliberate sonic direction, coinciding with the launch of his eponymous label, a platform conceived for total artistic autonomy and long-term vision.
The project operates within a deep and psychedelic strain of techno, driven by a ritualistic rhythmic foundation and a sense of transcendental awareness. Inspired by biology, physics, and elemental forces, exuvia’s soundscapes reflect the structural parallels between organic life and technological systems.
Built on tension and controlled progression, the sound balances atmospheric depth with physical intensity. While often immersive and introspective, it can shift into forceful and cathartic territory, maintaining a constant equilibrium between contemplation and collective euphoria.
The rest of it — two more paragraphs
The literal meaning of exuvia (a shed skin) serves as the conceptual foundation for both the artist and the label. Each release embodies a distinct creative phase, taking form as a layer left behind in a process of continuous growth and renewal. Every work becomes a vital chapter in an evolving narrative.
As a DJ, exuvia extends this language into carefully constructed sets where continuity and momentum prevail. His approach favours depth, subtle progression, and a clear narrative arc. Beyond the booth, he is one of the founders of Symbole, a platform and event series dedicated to preserving and strengthening Madrid’s underground electronic scene.
