Joe BRT

Known for his precise taste and deep knowledge of underground club music, he has become an important connector between independent labels, producers and record stores worldwide, quietly shaping the circulation of contemporary electronic sound.

As a DJ, Joe channels the same sensibility that defines his work behind the counter: vinyl-led, stripped-back and driven by groove rather than spectacle. His sets unfold patiently, built from warm, fluid rhythms and subtle shifts in energy that favour long-form storytelling over quick peaks. There’s a sense of trust in his selections, informed by years of digging, listening and cureration.

Through black.round.twelve, Joe continues to champion high-quality pressings and uncompromising artistic vision. Whether in the booth or behind the scenes, he stands as a committed custodian of underground culture — grounded, consistent, and firmly dedicated to the craft of selection.
