Jamaica’s work has always been built on discipline, deep sonic exploration, and a passionate connection to the scene. Hailing from San Francisco and based in Berlin, she quickly became a fixture of the German capital’s scene and built a vast network of underground communities across Europe and internationally. She’s centered her craft in the studio and behind the decks on the art of contrast – grimy industrial edge with meditative, consciousness-expanding dream worlds with no-holds-barred runaway energy. Jamaica’s voice always finds a timeless balance between the rawness of 90s techno traditions and boundary-pushing modern techniques.
Her critically-acclaimed label Gradient has been a platform for her own finely-tuned productions, including a 17-track quadruple-vinyl release, “Uncertain Landscape.”
