Jeku
also plays New York City — 1 night
The time for genre has passed, with Jeku partaking in such musical flora fuckery, focusing on tripped out kinetic motion, compelling/telling the body to move.
Coming from Helsinki where he continually bumps heads at Kaiku & Post Bar, and now residing in Paris, Jeku is twisting the format of psy inflected rhythms. Releases on labels like Craigie Knowes partake in a new wave of how house would sound if it took a dive into the mycelial broth, for the dancefloor and a trip in the mind. Beyond the postured DJ of the times, Jeku comes through with live sets on a 50/50 analogue tip; unreleased tracks heard only then, the ephemeral nature of the night in place.
