Barbara Preisinger first began dj-ing in 1996 in her hometown of Munich and was playing regularly at the the green flokati room of the "ultraschall" club. in the Summer of 1998 Barbara left Munich for Berlin, where she started working as a freelance press and radio promoter for electronic music. In the years that followed she represented various labels and acts from the experimental music scene, ranging from straight clubsounds to electronic pop and indie-electronia. 1999 saw her co-found the label ˜scape, together with Stefan Betke aka Pole, creating an open platform for the productions of Kit Clayton, Jan Jelinek, Deadbeat, Pole amongst many others. Before long she was a resident dj at regular scape nights in berlin and other locations within europe, japan and also further afield in north america. Over the years her musical preferences as dj have changed and developed continuously to House and Techno. Her passion is to play for the dancefloor, mixing kicking house and deep techno, all the while remaining open towards interesting and outstanding tunes that makes you move. And she has been doing exactly that at many a prestigious location around the globe including festivals as Sonar, Benicassim, DEMF, Club Transmediale Berlin, Mutek, Unsound Festival .....to mention but a few. Autumn 2009 Barbara Preisinger founded the 12inch vinyl label SLICES OF LIFE which is focused on organic sounding and diverse club music, with releases by Betke, Mike Huckaby, Baaz, John Tejada, The Mole, Dana Ruh, Losoul, Alexander Skancke,... The label´s founding year also marked the beginning of the event series DEEP IN THE BOX with regular parties at Berlin´s Club der Visionäre, Wilde Renate, Ipse among other places. Based in Berlin for over a decade, dynamic Austrian duo Foehn & Jerome have drawn influence from their surroundings, holding down a residency at Club der Visionaere with their Perfumed Freedom events, cementing themselves in the thick of the melting pot scene of the city. In the next period of their career they will explore new territory, extending the Perfumed Freedom umbrella to a record label, releasing music from themselves and other artists they admire, and a fresh label alongside Alexander Skancke and Henriku, titled “TBH”. After becoming flatmates in Berlin 2011 they began their joint quest holding down a residency at Vienna hotspot Grelle Forelle for the “Cafe Sturz” events, during this time they hosted the likes of Zip, Sammy Dee, Vera and many more. They then moved their attention to Berlin and ever since have been residents at Club der Visionaere, with some early events under various names before starting their anticipated Perfumed Freedom parties in 2018, allowing them to grow an extensive community through the years, and still going strong to this day inviting artists such as Daniel Bell, Thomas Melchior, Mathew Jonson, Eli Verveine, Losoul, Rhadoo, Vale Colvin, Felix Hk, Idit Frenkel amongst many other fantastic names. Their intricately arranged productions have led to Foehn & Jerome landing music on integral labels throughout the years, all of which have inspired their journey. You can discover their music on Zip’s Perlon, Sammy Dee’s Ultrastretch, Barbara Preisinger’s Slices Of Life in collaboration with Alexander Skancke on “Public Trouble”. Other bodies of work have been released on Quirk, Gabu, with their earliest work on their co-founded label “Untitled 100” with Argenis Brito and Thomas Grün.
