Formella is a London-born, Berlin-based DJ and producer moving across the full spectrum of bass-driven club music. Her sets are weighty yet spacious, connecting dubstep, halftime, psychedelic drum & bass, jungle and textural techno through a shared focus on low-end physicality, rhythmic detail and space. Rather than conforming to fixed genres, she builds fluid, narrative-driven sets guided by intuition and contrast. This sensibility was shaped during three years at OYE Records, where deep, cross-genre digging became second nature and continues to inform her selection practice. As a member of Femme Bass Mafia, Formella combines performance with technical education and community-led formats. She has facilitated DJ workshops internationally and led an Ableton production workshop at Amsterdam's ADE. Her sets have resonated at Ankali, Thekla, La Machine, playing for events such as Deep Medi, Keep Hush, Outlook Festival and more across Europe and India. Deeply connected to soundsystem culture and the materiality of sound, she co-built and co-owns a custom sound system with Femme Bass Mafia, an extension of her focus on bass as something felt as much as heard. Her residency Soundbathing on Shella Radio explores slower and more spacious frequencies, feeding back into club sets that move between pressure, pace and atmosphere. Alongside her club work, she develops an environmental sound practice through field recording, landscape acoustics and spatial listening, bringing these approaches into both performance and workshop contexts. This research expands her work beyond the dancefloor into curated, sound-led environments. SILVASURFER is a Berlin-based DJ with Brazilian and German roots, known for high-energy sets that bring the sounds of Brazil to dancefloors worldwide. Growing up between cultures, she developed a deep connection to music from an early age, with Baile Funk—shaped by the street parties she attended as a teenager in Brazil—at the core of her sound today. Her sets focus on different styles of Baile Funk, from Mandelão and Bruxaria to Carioca, while occasionally exploring other genres like Grime or Club. In doing so, she showcases the richness of Brazilian production and spotlights emerging artists and fresh sounds. On stage, her presence creates an intensity that keeps crowds moving and engaged. SILVASURFER performs at events across Europe, strengthening the funk scene and the Brazilian diaspora abroad. In Brazil, she has appeared at standout events in São Paulo and Rio de Janeiro, contributing to the vibrancy of the local scene while building bridges between continents. Bermuda born musician Obeka featured in MixMag’s ‘Artists to Watch 2025’ delivers a native sound and rhythm distinct to his homeland. The multi-percussionist blends native styles from Pan-African, Caribbean and South American origins that became essential for manifesting polyrhythmic electronic beats and tempos with a mix of live and software based drum performances. Obeka has ventured his sound in a multitude of UK cities and beyond the shores in Bologna, Cuba, Lisbon, Berlin and most recently finishing a debut tour in Miami and Colombia. With a plethora of EPs released on YUKU, Future Bounce, Love in The Endz, Basy Tropilkalne and Left, Right & Centre. Jumping into his second year as an Oroko Radio Resident based in Ghana, Obeka has further ventured into the airwaves of BBC Radio, Rinse FM, Rinse France, NTS Radio, Miami Community Radio and most recently Berlin platform Refuge Worldwide.
