Ani Be

Miami-born and NYC-based, Ani Be is a DJ whose passion for music first began with dance. Before ever stepping behind the decks, she experienced music through movement, giving herself over to the rhythm and becoming fascinated by its ability to shift something within her and, in turn, the energy of an entire room. That instinct sits at the center of the way she plays.

Drawn to the minimal and dubby intersection of house, techno, and electro, Ani Be’s sound is immersive, sensual, and built for movement. Driving basslines sit at the center of her selections, balanced by hypnotic repetition, floating textures, and a strong emphasis on lyrical storytelling. Her selections drift between tender and playful moments and deeper, driving rhythms, while maintaining a sense of physicality.

At the heart of her selections is simply the music that moves her. Constantly exploring new sounds, she follows feeling first rather than genre, searching for music that creates both a physical and emotional response. In sharing that music with the room, she returns to the instinct that first brought her to music as a dancer: to surrender to sound, move with it, and invite others to find their own connection through it.
