Ali Coleman is a New York City–based DJ, producer, and cultural organizer whose relationship with DJ culture began in 1979, emerging from early disco, block parties, and club spaces that centered music as a tool for release and connection. That lineage continues to inform his intuitive, people-centered approach today.

As a DJ and producer, Ali’s sound draws from deep, soulful, Afro-influenced, and globally inspired house music, blending classic foundations with forward-facing selections. His work spans clubs, festivals, cultural institutions, and public spaces, adapting seamlessly across contexts while maintaining musical integrity. Ali brings both underground credibility and seasoned professionalism to every room—whether he’s warming up a floor, taking it peak-time, or closing with intention.

. In 2023, Ali marked 30 years of professionally bringing communities together through dance, culture, music and inclusion.
