Byld
BYLD (James Preston) is a DJ, session musician, and dedicated dancer based in Brooklyn NY. Growing up in Boston in the 90s James was heavily influenced by a golden era of R&B, Hip Hop and rave sounds, and later on by the pulse and freedom of the unparalleled underground Queer NYC dance scene. As BYLD, he pulls those threads together with ease, bringing rhythm, soul, and movement into everything he plays. BYLD plays out regularly in NYC and is also 1/2 of the DJ/production duo Underpass alongside John Barera with original releases out on Sorry Records and Toucan Sounds.

Their rooms
One tick a night, on the one axis this page has — Aug 2023, where the listings start, to Jan 2027, the last night anybody has announced. The shaded end has not happened yet.
- Earthly Delightswas a standing night · Jan 2025 – Aug 20256 nights
Once each: Honey's, Jupiter Disco, Telephone, Rebecca's, Hellphone Brooklyn, Bossa Nova Civic Club and Happyfun Hideaway. One of the 15 listings never named a room, and is not counted as one.
Who they play with
Counted from the bills themselves, over bills of twelve names or fewer. A pair's count includes a night that is announced and not yet played; where there is one, the row says when.
