Malzof
As a long-time events & community organizer, Malzof is also well-known for their public art, projection art/installations and musical output.
Sweet Abyss resident Malzof has been DJing for over a decade, playing their own signature style of transgender dance music. As a life-long music collector, their sound archives go deep. Heavily influenced by IDM, Ambient, experimental music, breaks, sampling, and dance music of all kinds, they are not afraid to collage and blend. They see DJing as an extension of all the work they do- to bring people together, to encourage moments of release and joy, and to support people in showing up in their true expressions as resistance against hegemony.
You may have heard Malzof play just about everywhere imaginable in Pittsburgh, or in Philly, NYC, DC, Ithaca, Rochester, Montreal, Detroit, throughout California or on your radio waves across the world. Malzof brings their creative vision and multimedia art practice into the ways they share and cast sound.
