Preacher's Daughter

31 listings in 11 named rooms, over the last three years

Preacher’s Daughter is a DJ, sound artist, and writer whose practice is rooted in curation as storytelling. Guided by rhythm, tension, and release, her sets unfold patiently, allowing atmosphere, percussion, and emotional movement to shape the dance floor. Moving through rhythm, texture, and tension, she builds sets that carry lineage, politics, cultural memory, and a coherent emotional world. She builds immersive dancefloors that reward close listening as much as physical and internal movement. Her selections prioritize texture, negative space, and raw rhythmic energy, inviting dancers into moments of reflection, collective intensity, and transformation.

Their rooms

One tick a night, on the one axis this page has — Aug 2023, where the listings start, to Jan 2027, the last night anybody has announced. The shaded end has not happened yet.

Once each: Honey's, The Onyx Room at House of Yes, Newtown Radio, Jade, Jupiter Disco, The Living Gallery and Wonderville. Three of the 31 listings never named a room, and are not counted as one.

Who they play with

Counted from the bills themselves, over bills of twelve names or fewer. A pair's count includes a night that is announced and not yet played; where there is one, the row says when.
